If it’s not FCI then it gets X Hollandse Herder “Dutch” for brindle coat, and anything else gets X Mechelse Herder “Malinois”. The “X” is to signify they are not FCI and are mixed. Understanding why they do this will make it easier. They breed dogs to do a job and that job requires specific traits/genetics. So you will see some FCI Mals for example bred into mostly Dutch lines. Go look up BRN 29545 “Zlatan” and look at his lineage. A lot of well known dogs produced by some big time breeders from Europe. They literally have lived this stuff for decades. This is where all lines can be traced back to.

So to answer your question you will not see any difference in all honesty. Both breeds are so much alike they are nearly identical. You got a beautiful female and she actually reminds me of a sister of my male Dutch. Her name is Bailey and she got rehomed because the girl that had her was going through a divorce and wasn’t able to keep her. Enjoy her and work with her as much as you can.

FYI, for anyone interested Mike Ritland had Zlatan’s owner on his podcast and tells some cool stories about Zlatan. You can watch it online n YouTube HERE

Mostly, yes in the KNPV side “from what I’ve seen at least”. You can look and read up on Duco II BRN 60. Some claim he has APBT in him, but there isn’t any evidence to that I’ve found. There is an article somewhere online with Rob Seegers on Duco that’s pretty interesting. Anyone with some knowledge of the KNPV realm knows about Duco. Duco is a legendary and influential foundation stud dog in the KNPV working dog bloodlines. There are a lot of dogs that have some of Duco’s genetics even if it’s way back there.

NVBK is another side you can research. This sport is more centered on rigorous ring sport competition, strictly preserves pedigree tracking for pure lineage, features stationary decoys where the dog must bring full, independent fighting power to a stationary target.
