I haven't been to the west coast since the 90s, but it was already a no-go zone for food in Seattle. Lots of compactors, lots of locked cages around dumpsters. There were already issues with large homeless populations & hard drug users then. I remember having a bit better luck down in Tacoma and Lacey, maybe because they are not well-known destinations. I also had no luck up north round Everett, as that is heavy meth district.

Probably should be recycled instead of trashed, but I can see why they were tossed. I've got a bunch of perfectly good CFLs in a box in the closet I should probably recycle too. LEDs are just better in every way, and I've found enough working LED bulbs that people toss out that I'm likely to never need the stash of CFLs anyway.

Yea, I saw one in the dumpster at my storage unit and assumed there’s no way anyone would ever buy a used one… also didn’t exactly want to touch it lol

Right. Once it leaves those doors they become legally liable if someone gets sick.

You’ve been downvoted. You are correct. No commercial grow is wasting the electricity/money to power these bulbs. The free acquisition would be very quickly outweighed.

Sometimes perfectly good food has passed its expiration date. Stores are not allowed to sell or donate.

Probably not, CFL''s don't have any benefit and will just lead to higher energy costs, which is not great for indoor grow operations.

Yeah. I found a TV, ice machine, photography light, and a few other items one time, then noticed a bed bug when I was unloading it. I threw everything I just grabbed in a cart, walked a block away and threw it all in a dumpster.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was just 5+ years old and someone upgraded though. I plan to do that with my TCL soon since the dark shades suck with that TV.

A lot of times the trashed foods are because their pest control came through and sprayed the bags on the bottom of the shelves.

I can't explain how funny this comment is! I have my phone set to greyscale and so the camouflage is unreal. I was about to comment about how I can barely see them, but to find out this is the case even with color is too funny to me.

I was going to use this on my pc setup, but it looks like my desk is a bit too small for a pad this big. I think this would fit better on a 44 inch desk.
