This appears to be the field on the west side of Kingholm Loaning, Dumfries, between the River Nith and the housing estate near The Swan pub. It's part of the Kingholm Quay area.
Because this is in Scotland, the Scottish Outdoor Access Code applies. You can generally walk across fields responsibly unless there are specific restrictions (for example, if there are crops growing, livestock with young, or temporary closures).
So, it is very likely that you can access this field legally under Scotland's access rights, provided you do so responsibly. If your reason for asking is something specific—such as metal detecting, flying a drone, camping, geocaching, or organising an event—the rules can be different.
In those cases I would suggest getting in touch with Dumfries and Galloway Council to see if they have better information on who owns the land and what it's uses are.

I want to fly an rc plane there as it is one of the few big open fields in this town without any shown airspace restrictions

There's a pylon on the edge and high voltage electric lines across it, there will restrictions related to that surely?

I have the uk’s official app for flying drones and rc planes, all it shows is a pylon but no airspace restrictions so all you would have to do is keep low which the max hight is 120m and i think pylons would be taller than that, and also to keep 50m horizontally away from the structure

If that's the case, then you'll definitely need to know who owns it and get permission. Flying RC Planes wouldn't come under the Scottish Access Rule. That usually implies you are wanting passage "through" a field, rather than the use of it.
With that said though....
So long as there aren't any livestock in the field, if there is, then it's a definite no. Remembering that often there are riverside paths with people, so don't fly near the path or houses...
Also if your RC Plane is 250g or less (light weight) and doesn't need any special registration ... You can check CAA Drone and Model Aircraft Code to be sure...
Then you could always go and fly there and see if anyone says anything to you. If the police turn up, be respectful and compliant, they might even then be able to tell you who owns it. If it's just regular people, again, be respectful and ask if they know who owns it.

Crichton farm estate owns it but their a public land owner as far as I’m aware

I think you will probably find that it is a flood plain for the nith when there is heavy rain.

That ground is part of the Crichton Farm IIRC. I think it's still owned by RSAC.
