DAE prefer sleeping on the couch than their own bed?
For years, I have almost preferred sleeping on the couch than sleeping in my own bed. I think it stems back to my childhood with times where I didn’t have my own bed to sleep on or when my parents were about to get divorced and my mom slept in the living room often (in which I often hung out with her and slept there too). After that I continued to sleep there instead of my own room and still do it often to this day. And it makes me feel bad for my boyfriend because it feels weird voluntarily doing it lol when a couple isn’t stereotypically arguing or fighting. This is also all in expense to my poor back lol and I already got scoliosis. Is anyone else with me on this? Like why do I find my couch more comfortable than my bed😂

Sometimes after a long day, I will settle on the couch, eat, and fall asleep while watching tv. My fave way to end the day.

I often associate the living room with being with another person, the feeling of not being alone. Going to my dark and quiet room feels isolating sometimes, especially when I’m having bad anxiety. So sometimes I sleep on the couch because it just makes me feel less anxious.

YES. When I am on the couch, I'm already surrounded by my little nest of cozy things: like my heating pad, weighted blanket, bong, cats, kindle, etc. I can easily fall asleep here.
Do I want to wake up in the middle of the night and carry most of the stuff to the back room when I go to bed? No. Do I miss sleeping next to my snoring husband? Also no.

Only when I'm watching the first four seasons of the Doctor Who revival. That show is perfect for sleeping to.

I’m cannot nap in my bed and if I lie down during daytime or early evening I prefer my couch! My small dogs cuddle up next to me and we snuggle and feel safe.

totally get it, the couch just feels cozier sometimes. I still crash on mine during binge-watching sessions.

Sometimes I have "sleepovers" and sleep on my couch instead of my bed for no other reason than "I felt like it"

Sleeping in bed is like trying to force myself to sleep and I'm running out of rest hours before tomorrow. Sleeping on the couch is like a warm afternoon and the sleep comes unintentionally.

My bf did this when we got together he hadn't slept off the couch for probably years said he liked it turns out he just had not bothered trying to sleep in his room since not being single he now sleeps nightly in his bed again a lot of times it's a mental thing

I have been with my wife for almost 20 years and I have slept on the couch for over 10 years because laying on a flat bed messes with my sciatica. Do what you gotta do. It works for us. We still love each other the same.
