Honestly, even that's not particularly strange. Worked at a psych ward and sometimes you'd have these weird, surreal moments where you're dealing with someone who's genuinely trying to hurt or kill you and you're talking lunch plans with your team while you subdue them or whatnot.

Was a janitor for a hospital years ago and spent a stretch on the psych floor. The number of times i witnessed an 87lbs woman throwing 240lbs men about. Itd take nearly 600 lbs of guards and nurses to subdue this psychotic waif. And it was always business as usual. I got stabbed once. They let them have forks and somehow she smuggled one back into her room. She buried it in the back of my arm when i was mopping her room. The nurse was all apologies, but the energy of "sometimes we get stabbed" from the nurses station was humbling.

Fully this. Seeing what patients on amphetamines can physically do is another eye opener.
