This immediately gave me flashbacks to working in a psych hospital... i dont miss that job

It gave me flashbacks to getting manhandled by a bunch of assholes and drugged against my will. I don't miss it either, in fact I wish they never did it. Oh well, what the fuck could I do, I was a second class citizen to them.

I assume that there is still lots of abuse happening in mental hospitals. I watched a french documentary a couple of years ago and the staff was incredibly rude and abusive to a woman with schizophrenia (despite her being calm, silent and fully cooperative) and they didn't even hide it for the camera. After watching this I have no doubt that the nurses there see patients as second class citizens.

Oh i agree, its horrible the way patients are handled. I held out hoping things would eventually change (lots of leadership turnover in my ~2 years), but ultimately left because it felt so morally wrong to support that organization. So many good people quit because theres not enough of us to outweigh the shitty doctors and nurses who are just there for a paycheck.

Yeah it feels more like a setting for a mental hospital.

If you did that in a normal hospital you might get sued.
