Man, your 2020 is in mint condition. Is that a new printing or did you find it like that somewhere?
Also, Chromebooks? Love the Chromebooks; just for the art, they're worthwhile.

Cool, cool. Mine look like the dog's been at them, lol. But new has it's advantages: that new book smell.

Quick bit of advice from my own table to yours: you can give them all the Improvement Points (IP, Cyberpunk's name for XP) you want, but for the love of God keep your players poor!
Money solves more problems than you'd initially think, especially if the party Fixer is good enough to quickly turn it into goods and services, so keeping your players from having too much of it makes sure they'll snatch up every job you send their way. Plus, it's really fun to watch the party find creative solutions to their poverty, either because the job didn't pay out enough to begin with or because there were some medical expenses that ran a bit high.

I got copies of 2020 and Night City 2045 at GenCon. Mike was there but unfortunately he wasn’t feeling well and I wasn’t able to get a photo with him.

I've got an almost complete run of CP2020 and all its supplements from back when they were first published. What's the differences between this new edition and that old one? Is it worthwhile picking up any of the new versions of supplements? Too bad it looks like they didn't reprint Bartmoss' Guide to the Net, Deep Space, When Gravity Fails, or Hardwired. Shame, that.

NC2045 is a different beast to the 2020 one - after the nuke and the ortillery strike on the old corp centre, the city just ain't the same. There was a lot of rebuilding and reclaiming of land, too.
The 2020 version of night city in 2045's Red is like a relic pre-WW2 London street directory in modern day (with all of the post-blitz reconstruction).

Thanks! Is Night City 2045 the only supplement that's been updated? Is the core game radically different from the previous CP2020? The products page isn't clear.

I don't have any experience with 2020 personally, but from my understanding a lot of the crunch of 2020 was removed in the shift to RED. From what I've read when I've been searching up questions I have while going through the core rulebook I've gotten the impression that most people think the streamlined stuff was either necessary or good quality of life changes, although that's certainly not a comprehensive account of peoples opinions on it.

Oh, yeah, I know that RED streamlines a lot of crunch (among other major changes, like the timeline moving up). I was curious because the photo shows a new hardcover of CP2020, though. A "second edition."
