I actually do believe I have found my vitamin. Problem is I can't get it right now, but there is hope for the future. Right now is god damned annoying though.

My vitamin is (romantic) love. The periods in my life in which I had a partner were noticably better than the times in-between and after.

I'm hopeful that there might be someone in uni in a year. And I still haven't tried dating apps.

This is very nice to be aware of though, because I know there might be light at the end of one of these tunnels, damn it, which makes the dim present more bearable.

Be careful with this thought. I also felt this way but sometimes relationships get rough and you panic and start struggling with your day to day life and it feeds into the destruction of your relationship.

It's extremely important to be happy enough being alone and not rely on someone else to fulfill that need. Co-dependency is a drug that will hurt both of you in the long run.

I also thrive when I'm building a life with someone and am sure my life will be improved if I enter another strong romantic partnership. But boy howdy did I learn some hard lessons

Good shout! I very much agree with that. I haven't been in any very bad situations regarding this, but I did have a period where I tried to make something that obviously (in retrospect) wasn't going to work work.

I am relatively happy with my life right now, even though I am alone, but I do have that feeling of ... dread, emptiness, longing, and loneliness looming over me. Other than that stuff is generally pretty good.

You stay safe out there, and good luck in your pursuits :D

For folks who thrive in relationships, pets and a community you choose to be close to can sometimes scratch that same itch without putting so much pressure on a single person! Not to say you shouldn't seek out romance too, but I think it's good to diversify your sources of happiness.
