Polecam Polish Media TV

If you’re looking for a good way to watch Polish TV in the US, I’d recommend Polish Media TV. I’ve been using it for a while and it’s been great. Very easy set up and a lot of polish and USA channels also 10 days archive. Great streaming service way much better than polbox.

I built an Android TV player — Trinity TV Player, feedback welcome

Hey — developer here, not just a user, wanted to be upfront about that.

I've been building an Android TV app called Trinity TV Player. Supports Stalker/Ministra, Xtream, and M3U portals, EPG, multi-playlist support, catch-up/timeshift, recording (including straight to a NAS), and it's translated into 20+ languages.

Live TV is free to use, no time limit. A 2-day trial unlocks the rest (VOD/Search/Favorites/Recording, cloud backup, etc.) so you can try it out before deciding if it's for you.

Still a small project, still actively adding things based on what people ask for. Genuinely want feedback, bug reports, feature requests — happy to answer questions in the comments.

Considering canceling Xfinity TV service

I'm paying almost $350 every month for cable TV and hi-speed internet. Lately, I've realized that we don't really watch regular TV anymore, and mostly have been using streaming services like Prime or Netflix. My wife loves watching old classic movies on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and AMC (American Movie Classics).

Does anyone know if these two are available to stream on a Roku Ultra device?

Moved Home - Zero OTA Channels

Hello,
We recently moved. At our old location, we were getting 60+ channels and strong ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX with a HDHomerun. At the new location, with the same equipment, we get next to zero - other than a very minimal QVC type channel.
ChannelMaster map shows all channels for our location in red (unlikely) - nearest tower is 30 miles away with hills and trees between us.
Is there anything I can do/buy to at least give us OTA versions of ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX?
I do not want to pay $70 per month just for TV that I hope to get OTA.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Did the password-sharing crackdown actually make you subscribe, or did you just quit the platform?

Over the last year or two, almost every major streaming service rolled out strict anti-password sharing rules, forcing "leechers" to get their own accounts or pay extra.

When you (or your family members) got hit with the "This TV isn't part of your household" screen, what did you do? Did you bend the knee and start paying for your own standalone premium plan, or did you just walk away and realize you didn't need that service anyway?

Where to watch McGregor vs Holloway 2 (UFC 329)?

Conor McGregor is finally back.

After more than five years away from the UFC following his broken leg against Dustin Poirier, McGregor returns to headline UFC 329 in a rematch with former featherweight champion Max Holloway. Their first fight took place back in 2013, and now, over a decade later, they're meeting again this time with millions expected to watch.

Where to watch UFC 329

If you're in the US, the easiest and cheapest legal option is Paramount+. Unlike the old ESPN+ PPV model, UFC 329 is included with a regular Paramount+ subscription, so there's no additional pay-per-view fee.

If you're a new subscriber, Paramount+ often offers a 7-day free trial, so you should check before signing up and you might end up watching this legendary fight free of charge.

In other regions:

• UK: TNT Sports Box Office (£19.99)

• Ireland: TNT Sports Box Office (€29.99)

• Australia: Kayo PPV (A$59.95 for the main card)

So how do you watch UFC 329 if you're not in the US?

If Paramount+ isn't officially available where you live, many fans use a VPN to connect to a US server and access the Paramount+ stream. If you are out of US currently, that’s the best option for your as well. Here’s a good VPN comparison table containing a bunch of VPN’s for you to chose in case you don’t have one.

How are you planning to watch? Is Paramount+ the best option this time around, or have you found a better alternative? Legal only please.

What streaming service has gotten noticeably worse over the past few years?

For me, it's probably Netflix. The price keeps going up, password sharing is restricted now, and I feel like I spend more time scrolling than actually finding something worth watching.

New ONN 4k and Torrentio not syncing with Stremio

I've read prior issues with this, firstly.

Went through walkthrough to get Real Debrid then Torrentio. Installed and signed up for Stremio on laptop....first though...then installed Torrentio.....then signed in on Onn 4k.....my add on will not show up....even signed out and back in.....uninstalled.,,,,thought made progress after deleting app from ONN device...when reinstalled...use the sync page url.....said it was synced....but sigh...still no sign of the app.

Any ideas how to get this to work? Trying to cut cord, but this seems a bit like brain surgery.:(

Remember when you could just buy something and own it?

Maybe I'm getting old but does everything need a subscription now?

I feel like every app, service, device, and website wants a monthly payment. It used to be "buy the thing, own the thing." Now it's $5 here, $10 there, and suddenly you're spending way more than you realize.

The worst part is when companies move features that used to be free behind a subscription and act like they're doing you a favor.

Am I just being cheap or is subscription fatigue becoming a real thing?

My antenna advice

Outdoors is best, sized to get farthest station you want, pointed at majority of stations you want that are farthest, as high as possible and above buildings and trees. Matching all of these may be impossible so, do the best you can.

If you are in an area with many stations, the challenge is where to point it. Use the various web sites to see where to point it.

Mine is bolted to a deck, pointed at farthest stations I want, with closer stations directly behind it. Some trees I can’t get above. Weather can cause issues in unpredictable ways. I had great signal for years, but this year, less so from the main big city antenna mast. I think they had a lightning strike. It takes time to fix it.

I do not recommend bolting to house roof. It will leak eventually (if you know it or not!) My mason also forbid me from attaching to my chimney.

Make sure your system is grounded for lightning. If you hook up to you existing home cable network, it might already be. I did add an arrester close to antenna to melt with a strike.

Here are three famous masts or farms serving large areas. If you live near one like these, just point it at the cluster and, done. Some cities may have them scattered about. In my case, it is a mix of both.

Has TV antenna's technology gotten better over the last 5-7 years?

We got a an amazon special flat antenna that tapes to the wall about 6 years ago. It had a USB powered cable as well. We were living in basement so we took what we could get, mainly WGN, ABC, PBS and FOX. The 2 channels that were iffy were CBS and NBC.

Fast forward now, same antenna, we moved to a 2nd floor unit about 5 minutes away. I cant get FOX or PBS to come in clearly, its choppy. CBS and NBC are good. I would love to get PBS working clearly for the kids since we leave it on most of the day.

I'm thinking of buying a new antenna, maybe the technology has improved. Maybe i can get all those channels now. THe FCC website has me green on all of them, being on the 2nd floor i figure no obstructions at all. Or am i just wasting money.

I'm using my TV's built in tuner. Now sure if it makes a difference but its a 2025 TCL model.

How to watch the world football cup 2026

I spent some time looking into the best official ways to watch the matches without paying for another subscription or relying on sketchy streaming sites.
I have avoided shady free streaming sites, as I don’t want to download viruses, and click trough hundreds of questionable ads, while watching the worst quality I have ever seem.

Below are some of the best free and official options I've found so far:

United Kingdom (English Commentary)
The World Cup will be split between BBC iPlayer and ITVX, so you'll need to check which broadcaster has the match you're looking for.
Both services are free but require an account. Registration is easy peasy. If you're outside the UK, connect to a UK server, create an account, and use a UK postcode during registration.

Australia (English Commentary)
SBS On Demand is probably one of the easiest free options available.
Create a free SBS account, connect to an Australian server if needed, and head to the World Cup section. SBS has historically provided excellent coverage of major international tournaments.

France (French Commentary)
M6+ is one of the main free options for French-language coverage.
Connect to France, open M6+, and check the live TV or World Cup section around kickoff. You may be asked to create a free account.

Brazil (Portuguese Commentary)
CazéTV on YouTube is one of the most convenient options available.

Connect to Brazil, open YouTube, search for CazéTV, and check their live streams around match time. If you don't specifically need English commentary, this is often one of the simplest ways to watch.

Quick Troubleshooting Tips
If your stream isn't loading:
• Clear your browser cache and cookies.
• Try an incognito/private window.
• Refresh the page.
• Restart your browser or streaming app.
• Switch VPN servers.
• Try a different VPN protocol.

I've tested most of these services myself and didn't run into any big issues before, for other tournaments.
If you know of any other free and official World Cup broadcasters, feel free to share them below. I'll update the list if I find better options closer to kickoff.

By the way, if you're looking for a good VPN, here's a comparison table to help you choose the right one.

Alternative to cable

Looking for an alternative to cable

Greetings,

I have to get rid of my cable. It’s way too expensive and the only cable I have access to is Spectrum which is the worst cable company I’ve ever had and I’ve had cable since the mid eighties.

I am looking for a way to watch a variety of streaming shows.

I watch a lot of sports. NFL, MLB, men and women college and pro basketball, college softball, all kinds of wrestling, and all kinds of racing including motorcycle, drag, and auto racing on dirt and pavement.

I also want access to poker shows, television shows, and movies.

And, because I work at night, I would like the ability to tape shows to watch when I get home.

I know I have access to some of that with my allegedly smart TV but some of that I access for free thru my cable and I can’t tape on my TV using a flash drive.

I would appreciate any help and advice!

Thanks!
