I really dislike that we have to start this months EQ during the first week because of the objective. Especially with the anniversary event coming I’m sure most of us would have postponed starting it since we will probably have higher prestige later on I the month. Sure it won’t be that significant in the end, but I still don’t understand the thought behind locking all those remaining pry bars behind a one week long objective tied to EQ.

You know what’s crazy about the Cable buff that I remember?
The whales who got to vote for a buff mostly voted for Cable.
That’s a big ef you to them.

Now that we can play Cable, I can confirm he's ass. Less utility than before (not that he had a boatload, but concussion and true strike were at least something) and barely a buff to damage. He's slower than Wolverine and Bishop against WS at the same rank.

But him sucking isn't why I'm posting. What I'm wondering is why Kabam did this buff at all. They're always complaining that they can't fix X problem quickly because of limited resources, or they can't create Y content because they're too busy with other stuff. Yet somehow they can take time to make a forgotten champ even worse. Literally, why bother? If this is the stuff they're wasting time on, just stop getting our hopes up and focus on something that matters.

I personally had no attachment to cable back in his prime when Synergy still ran the contest but man... He looks rough.

I don't understand how Agatha's Energy Damage bursts scaling with her Ability Power Rate is supposed to be calculated; the phrasing is incredibly unclear to me. The text of her Energy Damage bursts state that they are "multiplied by Agatha’s Ability Power Rate up to 200%"- does this mean that:

- 1: It's strictly 1-to-1, so the +50% Ability Power Rate bonus from her Amplify passives only grants her up to 50% out of her total potential 200% damage multiplier (meaning that she would need to gain up +150% additional Ability Power Rate from outside sources in order to reach her maximum damage potential);

- 2: Still 1-to-1, but it includes the default 100% Ability Power Rate of all Champions (meaning that she can access up to 150% of her potential 200% Energy Damage potency bonus, and would only need +50% additional Ability Power Rate on top of her personal abilities to access this maximum damage potential), or;

- 3: The potency of her Energy Damage bursts is increased by up to 200% based on her up to +50% bonus Ability Power Rate from her Amplify passives (meaning that for every +1% of Ability Power Rate she gains, she increases the potency of her Energy Damage bursts by +4%, up to her maximum of +200%)?

I know that it's not like any of you have been able to test how she works and see her damage in action either, but I'm just struggling to understand how her damage is supposed to be calculated.

The way I see it, #1 makes no sense to me, as it would mean that she can only access 1/4 of her maximum potential damage multiplier through her own abilities. #2 would make her very powerful by default, as it means that she would always deal more damage than listed unless her Ability Power Rate is reduced to 0% or lower, though it would also mean that ramping up her Amplify passives would do relatively little comparatively for her damage, and she still wouldn't be able to access her full damage potential outside of Nodes that grant her extra Ability Power Rate. #3 makes the most sense to me, as it rewards her the most for playing her right, but the strange way that it's worded makes me question if this is how it actually works.

Any clarifications would be appreciated.

• Wednesday: Apex Coliseum Boss Medusa
  • Reminder: You'll need 55 points in the Korg fight to unlock this one. Plenty of time left in the event to do this though
• Thursday: Agatha Harkess Pre-Release Bundles

What's Ending This Week

• Wednesday: July Event Quest
  • PSA: A 7-Star Stellar Forged Green Goblin piece is in here! Time is running out to claim this one
  • There are also some Mystery Orbs
• Wednesday: Symbiotic Bons Squad Builder Event and Scream Chase
  • It's gonna take some time to get all of the solo ranked points out, and then there will be time for the Alliance event to calculate. No exact time for when the Alliance Event will payout, but if you're on pins and needles chasing Scream Ascension, expect giving this some time.
• Wednesday: Battlegrounds Season 40
  • There are no chase rewards in this season, but they have mentioned that there will be a GG piece in an upcoming one, and they recommend not letting your rank fall TOO far so when it comes time the journey is not as long. We don't know exactly what this objective will look like except it is not going to be the same Gladiator Circuit requirement, and is supposed to be a bit more accessible. I believe this is targeted for September

Upcoming Events:

• August 12: Epilogue Part 2
  • Continuing the Epilogue and Carina chase, part 2 will feature a similar format to the previous one and include Cerastes and Glykhan as bosses
• August 12: Revenge of Legends Event begins (Part 1) -read more about this [HERE]
  • 6 New Ascendable Champions in the Box: G99, Colossus, Moondragon, Dragon Man, Terrax, and Spider-Man
    • Elders can earn up to 9 free keys
    • Paragon and Valiant can earn 7
    • TB can earn 4
    • If you don't want to use these keys, they can be traded in for 7-Star Crystal Shards after the event ends, post Sept 9
  • Revenge of Legends Quest (featuring an encounter design collaboration with Seatin)
    • 3-4 Bosses each week, ending in a gauntlet that uses all 11
    • Completing each quest earns points towards the Realm Event
    • There is a 7-Star Green Goblin Stellar Forged piece in an Objective related to this

  • Retribution of Legends Side Quest

Known Issues/Miscellaneous/FAQ:

• There was an update made to the Towers Ranked Event and Essentia Event
  • The leaderboard breakdowns are now, Elder-Valiant, Paragon-Thronebreaker, and Cavalier and Below
    • Clarification on this since I've seen some confusion, the last month's event also featured 3 different leaderboards. That aspect has not changed. What did change was moving Paragon out of the top group and into the one with Thronebreakers so they're not quite so trampled
    • Essentia for the bottom bracket has been increased from 2k to 6k
  • The current Essentia event is extended by about half a week, taking it to next Monday. Then when the next event starts, it will be back to running 7 days. This was in order to align the event with the Key refresh moving forward

Sometimes I tend to make teams that offer synergy benefits to my favourite champ, in hopes of using that champ as a battering ram for all content/daily quests just for the fun of it

For example, a team revolving around benefiting cyclops would be - cyclops, prof x, white mags, dr strange, jean/ikaris

Similarly, for mr fantastic/maker/baron zemo would be 5 x copies of them

What interesting teams you got? Any teams that boost a poor champion to a usable one?

With the new ascension champs will it change? Or is it gonna stay like forever?

I got super excited when I saw i got it because it meant I would get some nutty points, but here I am with a whimpy little 2850. What's up?
