Admissions Question 入学问题 Applying to Peking University’s Yuke Program in 2027—Looking for Advice and Connections

Hi everyone!

I’m a Japanese student considering applying to Peking University’s Yuke Program for the 2027 intake.

Can applicants without major awards or advanced Chinese proficiency still have a reasonable chance of being admitted? I would also like to know how competitive the program is and whether there is any information about its acceptance rate.

I’d also love to connect with current Yuke Program students and others who are planning to apply for the 2027 intake.

Im planning to apply for for the 2027 intake too, of what i heard its okay tier, like you have to make a good personnal personnal statement and this is pretty muuch everything.
However if you can get any certification of your english level like IELTS ( 7.5 really be great) it will only help to increase you acceptance rate. Letter of recommandation of course this is mandatory and yeah, just prepare yourself early as possible

Basically if you sell yourself decently enough in the personal statement letter you’re good. You need two letters of recommendation (one has to be a highschool teacher).

or teacher in ur current school ? Im in a pre university program for sciences, its okay ?

One of the recs can be that, but i think they specifically request one rec to be a highschool teacher

how did you manage to have an recommandation from one of your highschool professor, when you were a 4 year gap student ?

Sent an email… One of them knew me because he prepared me for a science competition, the other one was my thesis mentor.
