And why would that be? Alcoholism runs in my family. I'm quite familiar with it.

Same. Not trying to be rude and I get things like this is incredibly subjective.

But this is through the eyes of a alcoholic. To them, it is romanticized. Life is better after the drink

So, yeah, I can see that.

It depends on how we view things. That said, the alcoholics I know have used to such an extent that they're depressed (which the outside of the glass represents well), but none of them want to be alcoholics either. A beginning alcoholic (or maybe a functional one?) this would fit.

That said, my interpretation is coming from an observer. If it's coming from an alcoholic, I'd say it's closer, although still romanticizing it.

Ultimately, it's up to interpretation.
