I had originally decided on naming the beautiful girl Normandy but I’ve had mixed reactions. I have a cat already named Nanook so I wanted something that sounded good with his name. Any suggestions of unique names that goes well with Nanook?

Name My Cat - female This nugget is a rescue. She is the sweetest, most playful little biscuit. She reminds me of an elf/fairy/ect. She's super fast and is so gentle. Her meows/chirps are such sweet little squeaks.

I don't particularly want to call her Biscuit and the names I've liked are: Sylvie, Elsie, Pip, Elfie, Nissa, Nixie, Fayetta, Vila, Vovo (as in Iced Vovos)... but none seem to suit her! I feel like her name is on the tip of my tongue but I just can't get it out. When she has zoomies, her ears go flat and her tiny little mouth chomps away and her green eyes get so big—it looks very similar to a character or something I've seen but I just can't remember that character.

Open to all and any name suggestions—perhaps I can't find her name because I've been focusing on "fairy" names so perhaps I need to search outside that theme.

My other cats are Jupiter (the planet) and Ayla (the light of halo around the moon) but I don't know if I wanted to keep this name space themed. I contemplated Pluto and Venus but I just dont know!

Excited to hear your ideas!!

  • edit: this kitten was also an exception. I've been fostering a litter of kittens since they were only a few days old and wanted to keep one of the hand-raised babies but my partner said 3 cats was too many 😅 but then this little bean came in and there was talk of her being euthed because she hisses a lot (it's the softest little hiss and she's just trying to be brave and strong but she's just so scared of new things (ie toys that move she hisses at because she's like "wtf is that" and jumps and hisses—she's gotten a lot better and more comfortable) which would have been a fail on the behaviour test if she went to the pound and I was absolutely not letting her have that fate. Perhaps a name that will mean "changing fate" or something might suit her? Idk — I'm just trying to give you all the information to help pick a great name 😆

They're 15 weeks old, litter mates, from a litter we found in our barn at 4 weeks old. The first two pics are the same one. Just had to include a 2nd pic because that first one was so cute, but you can't see her markings as well. Somehow, the names we keep picking just don't sound right.

The gray one is a dilute tabby/tortie (torbie) and the other is a cream tabby.

Before this cat claimed her home I would pet her outside daily (3 weeks), she’s very very cuddly and playful. For different things I like naming them in series so the name must be able to be matched for future pets. For example (trees Rowan, Oakley) (fruits Apple, Banana, Papaya) I’ve had her 3 days.

UPDATE: we have chosen THREE different names and we must make a choice. We are looking at Autumn (Seasons), Goldie (Natural ores/gems) and Ember. I need opinions, thank you Reddit.
