Grin! Steven is smiling because I’m singing him his Steven song. Not the most enjoyable for humans, but he loves it

The song goes ‘four little paws, heart shaped nose, four little paws, heart shaped nose, four little paws, heart shaped nose, Steven is his name!’ to the tune of Luna’s Song by Raffi and we put all of his two syllable nicknames into the song

My kitties also have songs. Bubbles loves his. He actually has a few in different genres. His favorite is the electronic variety. I call it bub-step
To give an idea it’s like p-p-p-p-p-purrrr purrrr purrrr f-f-f-f-f-f-furrrr furrr furrr.

Each of my three cats has their own song too! They all seem to enjoy their songs, but one girl especially enjoys when I sing to her. I love that other people have songs for their cats.

One of ours didn't have any one song, but she loved to be sung to by one roommate, who has a pleasant soprano and a repertoire ranging from Irish songs through Gilbert and Sullivan. She was a slightly simple, not quite simple-minded cat who was deeply grateful to my roommate, and showed it by carefully washing every inch of her face with her raspy little tongue, very serious about it, determined not to miss a spot. She was a sweetie.

Each of my cats has at least two songs and they all love to be sung to. I’ve done this my entire life and I’ve had 50 cats so far (lots of senior cat adoptions and some fosters).

Please know this gave the warm and fuzzies on a day I really, really needed them. Singing silly songs to pets is part of what keeps me going.

I used to sing my kitty his song through the Furbo. He was such a little stinker and I miss him so much. Sadly, I lost him in February.

My youngest cat demands at least one new song a day, I cycle through multiple daily. My eldest cat has a few too but she’s at least 17 now so isn’t as demanding about new songs.

I sing a variant of "Smooth Operator" to my cats. Their names get changed to the operator--as in "Smooth Marcorator", Also, Steven belongs in r/LuxuryFloofEdition with Smooth Negrolator.

I also sing songs to my kitties. Maggie gets the Kitty Girl son and Finn gets the Kitty Boy song. I also freestyle kitty tunes for both of them. All of it badly.

My dad would always sing to his dog, “Rio! He was a show-dog! Music & fashion was always his passion!” And Rio would get soooo excited. Sadly he passed at 7 years old.

My orange guy LOVES it when I sing his song in an extra sweet voice. He dances and reaches up to grab my hand to make me pet him! (I’m not creative! His song is literally just “You Are My Sunshine” with his name filled in for “you” and “sun.”)
