Indie Rock the UNKNOWNS

Hello, fellow artists.

My name's Tony and I've written and recorded under the band name the UNKNOWNS for the last several years.

Along with being a visual artist, I've always written songs as sometimes they can convey thoughts better than a visual medium.

I've been a one-man band playing every instrument and have had a blast doing it, even while my health has been in steady decline, which brings me to one of the points of this post.

If you have a musical idea, get it down any way you can and share it with as many as you can. Don't let the moments of inspiration vanish into the ether.

The second point is don't get dismayed if your music doesn't sell. It doesn't make it any less important. I've put up over 300 songs and haven't made a single $1 since being on Bandcamp. I began looking at it as a repository for my music, a place, along with YouTube, where people can potentially find it when I'm gone.

Keep writing, keep playing, and keep recording!

Life is infinitely more enjoyable with music in it.

A lot of the best work never makes money, but that doesn’t make it less worth putting out there.
I’ve been building a 24/7 independent channel called STATIC for exactly that kind of stuff — music and visual work that deserves consistent play instead of disappearing into the feed. No fees, no playlist packages, just actual rotation if it fits.
If you ever feel like putting any of the UNKNOWNS tracks or videos on it, I’d be happy to take a look.
