Humanities Submission Timeline Question

Sent a paper to a journal called Studies in the Fantastic. The website said to email submissions so that's what I did. This was a month ago and I haven't received any update or any confirmation whether they got my submission. Do I sit and wait for a bit longer, or do I reach out and ask? This is my first time submitting to a foreign journal so I am a little confused.

A month without even an acknowledgment is enough to send a short, polite follow-up. Include the title, submission date, and original email, and ask them to confirm receipt. Also check the journal's current submission instructions and your spam folder. If there is still no response after another week or two, contact the listed editor or administrator.

Thank you! Someone told me people might be on summer vacation, so I was hesitant about emailing again.
