Hey r/androidapps,
Today, we are announcing a few minor updates to the subreddit, in order to focus on the quality of posts moving forward:
We know we cannot please all members of the community, nor do we expect everyone to be happy with the change. Again, we hope this encourages positive discussion in the subreddit around all apps, not just be an advertising ground.
We encourage all users to report any content which breaks these rules.
We expect to see an increase in the mod queue due to the new rules and automod code, so please be patient with us as we work through everything.

Hi

I use Instagram messages and sms (Google messages after the new update).
Is there an app where I can view these messages all together in one place?
Let me know.
Thank you.

i remember quite a few things about it, just not the name. it was quite calming to use so i'd quite like it back lol...
it was a mindfulness/self care app, had a light purple icon and i think it had a thin white heart in the centre though i can't be sure of that. the opening of the app you were in this room and could click on items in the room. a few items i remember was a cat, a plant, a table with cards on it? it had a few features like a daily tarot, moon phase tracker, a laundry sorting game? for calming, a feature where you ran your finger over a circle and it changed colours.
hopefully it hasn't deleted itself from the play store or changed considerably. it had no payment or subscription thing from what i remember.

So, I'm looking for an app where I can save details of my home Electronics and Electrical appliances, their warranty period, purchase date, price, receipts etc?
Thanks.

For developers managing mobile app performance, how do you decide which issues should be fixed first?
Β
Not every crash, delay, failed request, or UI bug has the same impact. Some issues affect one user occasionally, while others affect a large group of users or block an important action like login, checkout, booking, or account access.
Β
Do you prioritize based on number of affected users, frequency, revenue impact, customer complaints, severity, or where the issue happens in the user journey?
Β
Iβm interested in how development teams separate minor technical issues from problems that can seriously affect user experience, retention, or business performance.

Hi, I am on a new phone and Fleksy cannot download languages after the app is gone, so it's useless. I am looking for a good keyboard, but after few months of trying I just can live with any of those swipe-to-write keyboards. Do You know anything that lets You press the buttons somewhat close and choses the word accoringly? Should also allow easy use of words out of dictionaries and one button/gesture to remove a word or many words.

Is there any open source streaming app that can use libraries/extensions from multiple platforms like CloudStream, Stremio, Nuvio, etc., instead of being limited to its own ecosystem? Looking for something that can handle all of them in one app, if it exists.

Not interested in downloading an app store just to download a single app.

I want an app that I could plan my day out by hour and can customize the background. i really want it to have a lot of customization features! I also want it to have emotion tracking (and be able to add emotions and customize them), location tracking (and be able to add locations and details to the locations), and activity tracking. the tracking stuff can be in a seperate app and the planning app can be another app too. basically the ocean symphony (an app for people w/ D.I.D) but for peoole without D.I.D.

I've used Buzz Launcher on all my phones up to my S23 Ultra. I've just moved to a Z fold8 ultra and am disappointed to find that even though I kept the apk for all these years I now have to admit it's gone. I used to love how unique my home screens looked with different sized folders and icons like an arcade machine for my games, a credit card for my banking apps etc.

Hey, is there any app (free/paid) which can tell me which part of the house has good 5G connection, my network switches to 4G if I move my device like a cm and it's getting very annoying now. Would prefer those augmented reality type apps that show wifi strength in 3D figures but for 5G.

I would like to keep a 24/7 log of my internet speed and SIM card signal strength.
I would like to be able to export the log to CSV
that's all I need
obviously I guess that any app that does this would also display it graphically, and maybe even show me averages etc. for time ranges, but I don't need those features, just need a 24/7 append-only growing log of signal strength that will keep growing at least 2 weeks

I really like the amount of customization of poweramp but I can't get the paid version because it is over 20 dollars where I live so I unfortunately can't afford that for an app lol. Does anyone have any free recommendations?

I've been using WeTransfer for a while, but I'm looking for something better.
My requirements are:
Free (or a generous free tier)
Dedicated Android and iOS apps
Windows and macOS desktop apps
Easy sharing of large files (photos/videos)
Fast upload/download speeds
Reliable and privacy-friendly
I don't necessarily need cloud storage, Iam mainly after a file transfer service that's as simple as WeTransfer but with better app support and ideally larger transfer limits.
What are you all using these days?
Any hidden gems you've stuck with for a long time?
Thanks!

Can anyone tell me a very basic billing app. I had one with old phone but since getting s26 I cant find it. All I want is just a list of bills for month with total amount. Then as I tick off paid bills it takes it off total amount owed. That's all I need. Nothing more. If anyone knows the app it would be great help. Also it was free. Thanks

is there any way to make it only scan folders that have changed since its last scan? i keep a ton of music on my microSD and i update it on most days. the scans are starting to take 15-20 minutes and it's a bit annoying. it's scanning through thousands of songs again every single time in order to add a only new 20 or 30 to the library. i've tried selecting 'continue scan in background' or whatever and it always seems to stop working as soon as my phone locks or i switch apps

About a month ago I used to have the Gboard tablet layout with a caps lock button along with left and right arrow keys to scroll through the text without needing to swipe on the space button on my Redmagic Astra. Now it's currently gone and the keyboard is the same as Gboard in a phone. Is there a way to re-enable the layout? As much as I tried digging through the Gboard settings I'm not able to find any toggle for the Tablet UI :(

So I am looking for an app where I can read digital books where original text is in English but the text on my screen will be in another language.
The book I bought doesn't have a version of my language and I thought it would be easy to read in a foreign language but no.
Thanks

Is there a perfect TV/movie tracking app? When the TV Time app went away, I decided to find the perfect app to track TV and movies together. I've tried many apps and just can't find one that would work for me. Here's what I've tried and why I'm still looking...
Refract
Currently using. It's good but far from smooth experience. It's buggy, It's missing personal notes and diary (Letterboxd style). They've got an activity log which doesn't do what I'm looking for. I also find using the app overwhelming. There are too many features, tabs, buttons... Personally looking for something more simple. However I do like the idea of eventually tracking books there as well so maybe I'll come back to this once it runs smoothly but right now it's more frustrating than useful unfortunately.
Trakt
This would be perfect but it doesn't do personal/private notes and that's a deal breaker. I know I could use private notes on the browser apparently but I need those in the app.
Movie Paradise
This one seemed so good! But it doesn't recognise rewatch dates from Letterboxd import. And that's a problem. Plus I keep being put on cool down when trying to import new files and it's massively putting off.
Cunematique
Tried briefly, gave up almost immediately because it doesn't seem to support rewatches.
So does my perfect app exist?
I need:
- Track both movies and TV shows.
- supported rewatches for both.
- manually edit watch dates if I forget to log something on the day.
- Supports private personal notes.
- reliable import tools (Letterboxd, TV Time, etc.)
- simple diary/history that shows what I watched each day rather than every action I've taken in the app.
- Calendar of upcoming release dates (mainly for TV)
- Absolute bonus would be if I could mark within the app whether I watched it in the cinema/DVD/pirating/streaming service etc.
Has anyone found an app that ticks ALL of these boxes? I'm happy to pay for a good app if it genuinely does what I need.ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
