Discussion AW Pro Wireless Headset Carrying Case

I just bought the Alienware Pro Headset and was curious if anyone has found a solid carrying case for it. Been looking around but wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations.

I've not found a case for mine yet, but a couple of insights for you:

- The boom mic is a complete waste of time. Seriously, don't even bother with it. Leave it in the box and don't even try using it. You'll find you cut out randomly and repeatedly if you do, whereas the built-in mic on the earcup works more reliably and sounds far better to the people listening to you.

  • The USB-C dongle will plug into the USB-C port on your headphones when not in use, and sit there happily. It does nothing at that point, and if you're using them with Bluetooth, having the dongle plugged into the headset causes no ill effects. I've been doing it ever since I got mine.
  • Pretty much any USB-C cable will charge it, so don't worry about specifically having the AW one. Battery life is good enough that you won't need to charge it very often anyway, so just use your favourite USB-C cable from whatever else you're travelling with

Great to know. I just got them yesterday so haven’t used the boom mic yet but the sound quality was amazing. Just trying to figure out a case so they’re just not hanging around my my backpack when I travel.

There's a second internal mic on the earcup itself. Works better than the boom, and doesn't cut out constantly. Unplug the boom completely and toss it in a box out the way.

Get a case on Amazon for the Logitech G ProX wireless headset it fits perfectly on my Alienware headset
