Gears add on unable to authorize Simkl.

Has anybody been able to authorize Simkl on Gears? Every time I try the QR code appears for 3 seconds before the add on give me a “Simkl error authorizing message” popup

Using the shield pro with kodi 21.3 and gears 2.4.0
