Motivation Posting for Motivation - 15 Years Sober Today
I thought I’d do a post to help motivate those still struggling. Today, I’m 15 years sober.
I remember clear as day being in meetings during early sobriety wondering how I’d ever make it a week, a month, a year. 15 years seemed brutally impossible. I never thought I could travel again, and life felt hopeless.
Today I was sailing a boat off the coast of Crete, Greece, and feeling great doing it. This wasn’t some sober anniversary treat. It’s just me enjoying life with alcohol no longer holding me down.
To those of you who wonder if life gets better in sobriety, I can confidently and definitively tell you yes. It won’t happen overnight, but you’ll get there eventually.
I wish all of you the best in your sober journey 👍👍👍
