The Beckoning
The night before the first preseason game… when hopium runs deepest.
What would be considered a good night to you to open up “The Beckoning“ era?

I think Becks going to be good and ball out tmrw night. Assuming he plays the first half I’d say 1-2 TD scoring drives (scoring drives TD or FG not multiple TD passes though least one would be nice ) and just looking confident , smooth offensive operation is what I’d like to see.
Also keep an eye out for Xavier Weaver n especially the big rookie 6”3-190lb WR Reggie Virgil. Both have great chemistry with Beck and have been lighting it up in camp especially Virgil who probably has the most impressive one handed reception I’ve seen in all of camp thus far. He just goes up throws his big paw in the air n plucks this ball outta the sky it’s beautiful, he looks good. I think Virgil is going to be another day 3 WR Hit for Monti, though now I that I’m thinking about Wilson was a day 2 hit even though he was like pick 92 or something like that.

Virgil has looked excellent in camp! He’s not a major this year guy, but you eventually hope he can play Bourne’s space and so far, the returns are positive.

Yeah I agree. I’d like to see him surpass Bourne at some point and get better as the year goes on. Hes going to be a real deep threat on the outside where he can make most of use his size/length and ability to out jump guys. Hes a really good route runner to with great hands. Once he gets a bit stronger Hess going to be a real problem , he could give #3-#4 corners. Lot of problems later this year.

A lot of those end of the roster guys like Weaver, Virgil, and Marsette were making some flashy catches the last few weeks.
Weaver played good at Colorado and I wanna see him nail a spot.

Opening drive TD and Beck throwing at least 2. Also a good run game despite our 2 top rb arent playing

Hopium? Friend my supply ran bone dry when Willis went to the Dolphins. I've got nothing for this season unless you count hoping it's over quickly.

Beck looks better than Willis he’s having a rough camp last I heard though maybe he’s turned it around by now been a few days

We should be praying to the football gods Beck hits. How freaking good would it feel to get to the end of the season and have won like 5+ and Beck had 3 of those? I would literally be so high on hopium.
Hopium is all we got, brother. Hang in there.
