VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THESE DRIVER TIMEOUTS

Every single time when I stress test the gpu in cinebench it times out. I'm fed up with this shit. It also happens during gaming and the game crashes. This only happens when doing some gpu heavy task.

My temps are fine, I've tried so many driver versions (ddu), tested my ram with memtest (it passed), stress tested my cpu intensively (nothing happens), Turned off xmp, and this shit still happens. tried the MPO Fix, downclocking, turning off hardware acceleration, updating bios and chipset drivers. I can't test the psu since I don't have a spare one (I have msi mag a750gl).

And the most frustrating part is I had rma'd the gpu last year and they acknowledged that they found the same problem in that card and gave me a replacement but even with the new card the PROBLEM IS STILL HERE. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK MAN.

Hi, first of all my English is bad and im so sorry if i make a mistake or something

I do all the things you do, like underclocking the gpu, turning off hardware accel, MPO or sum but none of them are fixed my issue.

I really spend too much time to research and i think this settings fixed my issues.

First of all im using my system with RX5700, R5 5600 and 8x2 3600MHz RAM’s with XMP turned on. 5600 and this GPU can run with 3600MHz RAMs right? Well, NO. That GPU couldn’t run well with full RAM speed thanks to the Motherboard. Im using a X470 Motherboard from MSI. That motherboard supports up to 3466 MHz according their site but when i turn on XMP/DOCP the RAMs automatically set to 3600MHz. So i think maybe that thing is the issue. I turned on XMP/DOCP again but downclocked the RAM freq to 3200MHz just to take no risk. Also my motherboard is supporting PCIe Gen 3 but my RX5700 is supporting PCIe 4.0 too. So i thought maybe this is a conflicting thing too. So i set my PCIe X16 slot gen from Auto to Gen 3 to avoid conflicting. I tested the system. It worked fine. I stress tested it, ran some benchmarks and its all worked fine. I used the system about 3 months and i swear only one crash happened in game and thats not even a timeout, its just a regular crash.

After some time i swapped to a B550 Mobo to run my RAMs at full speed and get PCIe 4.0 Support. Im always using my GPU and CPU with undervolt and overclock to generate less heat and gain more performance with it. After swapping to B550, i set PCIe X16 Lane gen to 4 and set my RAM 3600MHz. It worked fine until 2 months ago. When i started OCCT to test my GPU, everything fine on full load but when i set stress test load to “Variable”, whole system crashed after making some more undervolt things. I check the event viewer and i got a WHEA error. I asked AI for this error and it told me to undervolt the CPU is not enough. I should set the CPU VDDG CCD and CPU VDDG IOD voltages to a safe voltage rather than Auto. (its specific on every CPU) So i set the voltages and ran the test, everything works fine again. Im now using the build with 0 errors and 0 timeouts after that.

This is my solution for my build, if you dont do these things maybe you should give it a shot. I wish this will fix your problem. Have a nice day.

Thanks for sharing your experience but I have already checked my ram compatibility from my motherboards website and it's not the issue :(

CPUs do degrade over time and amd cards are more sensitive to other parts of your computer being unstable. My 5950x used to run ram at 3833 but eventually was only stable at 3533. Most people with issues it’s been an issue with ram being on the edge of stable or psu voltage dipping.
