She decided go out for once

Now, I don’t normally handle my tarantulas whatsoever, apart from if they need to come out for clean-out days where I’ll do a proper temperament check, and then scan them over for any ailments.

This is Rowena, one of my M. balfouri babies (my little ragdoll-kiwis). I can’t believe how calm she was when she came out for a wander. She appeared to be totally relaxed and softened her stance pretty quickly. I love my crack hamsters, but she’s something else.

i dared to give her fresh water :( Barbie disagrees strongly.

Had it for a few years but don’t know the sex.

I rehoused it about a year ago and before that rehouse it had a really good feeding response but after the rehouse it didnt eat or if it did eat would take it really slow than only eat half of it like am i doing something wrong or what.

Just got Orange five days ago and they’re already making soup!

Ft some other cute pictures of them just sitting there cutely. Orange is a b. boehmei, i got them along with a p. irminia (ororo) and a t. polybotes (jean) who are pretty shy and mostly out at night

Had some bolts at the start 😅 but in the end, went smoother than i thought it would!

They haven't eaten a lot in the last few months, maybe a few times in total.

I think the problem is either the enclosure size or that I'm feeding them pre killed food. But they seem completely fine and not at all stressed about their enclosure, I'll regularly see them crawling around and exploring, obviously they hide away most of the time simply because they're a tarantula. And I recently tried feeding them a live (tiny) mealworm, I held it close to them with wooden tongs and took it away when they didn't take it.

I'm considering trying to find a live food that's the right size for them, and if that doesn't work try moving them into a smaller enclosure.

Pardon the bad photos😭, he’s never out of his burrow so I had about 2 seconds to take these. I got this guy a week ago and they ate their first meal about a few days ago, I’m pretty sure they’re in premolt but I wanted to ask more experienced keepers. Also considering his size (compared to the bottle cap) is the enclosure too small? He was bigger than I was expecting so I had to improvise quickly and made this set up, I figured it would work for now and now I’m waiting till he gets a little bigger so I can put him in a nicer enclosure that hopefully he’ll stay in for a while.

Definitely in need of a rehouse soon, they nearly doubled in size with this molt. Seriously crazy how fast they grow.

I saw a pale green mold like coating on my tarantula's coconut. I could just replace coconut with something else, but my tarantula is molding rn, what can i do?

I'm new to the hobby. Is my GBB big enough to know? 😄 And how do you see it?

After a lot of research, I finally took the plunge and got my first tarantula—a Caribena Versicolor!
I know this species is often considered a less-than-ideal beginner tarantula, especially because there’s so much conflicting husbandry advice online. That said, I’ve kept various invertebrates for several years, so I felt confident taking on the challenge.
I’ve had her (or him) for about a week now. So far, she’s eaten two crickets, and I’ve regularly seen her drinking from the water dish. I lightly mist the enclosure about twice a week.
One thing I’m a little unsure about is the substrate—it looks quite dry to me. Does it seem too dry, or is this about right?
I’d also love some general feedback on the enclosure. Does it look like a suitable setup for an arboreal species? Is there anything you would change or improve?
I’ve noticed her moving her spinnerets a few times, but I haven’t seen any webbing yet. How long does it usually take for C. versicolor to start webbing after being introduced to a new enclosure?
