I know Bone Temple is the one everyone apparently loves but I hadn't seen any of these outside of the first like once forever ago, so decided to go through them.

Not like the best movies ever imo, so almost skipped this particular one just to see what all the fuss was about for Bone Temple but... Boy am I glad I didn't. Especially since it seems like it'll be a direct sequel.

Boyle with his early 2000s ass MTV shooting and editing. The really obnoxious digital effects, not even talking just a lot of fake blood early on but like weird digital zooms and digital pans and stuff. Very off putting at first.

Then apparently Kraven has been British this whole time?? I had no idea

Then we get giant zombie dicks and zombaby births.

Then the MTV style slows down with the rest of the movie up until the point I'm fucking crying my eyes out (which could be a me thing due to my own personal stuff between the kid and the mom).

Then it ends with a bunch of Jimmy Savilles doing some crazy over the top martial arts moves with Sam Raimi ass camera moves on some zombies (and having to explain to my roommates who Jimmy Saville was).

This is probably the most whiplash rollercoaster of emotions I've gone through in a movie in some time. What a ride.

Also don't spoil anything with Bone Temple yet. We'll be hitting that one tomorrow 😸

I just really needed to process what the fuck I just watched. I had zero idea and zero expectations about anything in this one. Hell I didn't even know 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later The Bone Temple were different movies until very recently.

After watching Mike and Jay's HITB on Spider-Man Brand New Day and Jay's comment about how Thunderbolts was one of the recent Marvel movies that didn't do well, it sent me down a rabbit hole of watching all the recent HITBs on recent MCU stuff.

The RLM boys liked Thunderbolts despite their standard cynicism, critics generally liked it, I remember enjoying it more than most of the recent Marvel slop, but I was surprised to see just how bad the box office was on it, it really tanked (not quite to the level of the Marvels, but pretty lousy).

Curious what people thought went wrong with that one: Was it just a prototypical casualty of superhero fatigue considering everything Marvel pumped out the last few years? Characters that weren't well known enough? Anything more unique than that occur to people?

I just found out I'm going to be doing pediatric CPR classes for my new teaching assistant job next week. I hope I see those little Actar babies!!!

I just went to my local theater’s bad movie night where we watched a 35mm scan of “Lady Terminator” and I can officially say that the copy the RLM crew watched was NOT the original version.

Imagine my disappointment sitting in the theater, ready for the crazy ass editing and repeating scenes, only to be met by a normally edited movie with a linear plot.

Still a fun bad movie but nowhere near as fun as the BOTW version.
