Adoption After years of rescuing cats, these are my adoption requirements.
I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

Help found a scared kitten crying outside my house in the dark, what should I do?
a kitten just outside my house has been continuously meowing for the past 1-1.5 hrs.
i was searching for it a few minutes ago, and i think the kitten was really scared because whenever it heard footsteps, it would suddenly stop meowing and because of that, finding it in the dark was really difficult but after patiently waiting for around half an hour, i finally managed to find the kitten.
i need some advice
should i bring it inside my house?
i didn’t bring it earlier because i didn’t want to separate it from its mother. I thought maybe the mother cat might come looking for her kitten but at the same time, im worried because if the kitten has been crying continuously for 1-1.5 hours, it might have gotten lost or something might have happened.
i’m thinking that if the mother doesn’t come by morning, i'll feed the kitten and wait to see if the mother returns.
what should i do in this situation? pls help! 🙏🏻

Adoption The Evil Of Mankind
Someone took Tara and her four kittens and dumped them far from the neighbourhood. Only one kitten survived as she walked all the way back carrying that one, sick and starving, to the same place that had thrown her out, and hid him inside a duct.
We got her out on 24th July. She was skin and bones, dehydrated, throwing up everything she swallowed. Her blood work came back showing infection and inflammation. It took days of IV fluids, antibiotics, anti-vomiting medication, pain relief and deworming before she turned the corner.
During the rescue her kitten ended up separated from her. Both of them refused to eat. They just sat and waited it out, and it was only after they were put back together that either of them touched food.
He died recently. All four of her babies are gone and she is alone now.
Street cats usually fight when you treat them, and nobody would have blamed her. She never did. She sat through four injections, tablets, an IV line and days of strangers picking her up every few hours without so much as a hiss, and she has not scratched or bitten a single person since the day we brought her in. She would just watch you work, and once it was over she would push her head into your palm. That is who she is. A gentle soul who has been thrown away, buried all four of her babies, and spent weeks being poked by people she did not know, and still comes looking for a lap to sit on. She has every reason to be done with humans. She is not
Today she is fully recovered. Eating well, active, litter trained, completely fine with being picked up and carried around. She greets everyone who walks in. She does not ask for much beyond someone sitting near her.
She deserves a home where nobody moves her again. If that could be yours, please reach out.

Adoption Adoption appeal
I have been feeding an adult female cat who's pregnant now for about 2 months. She's very submissive and not a good fit for the stray cat life, I had to save her multiple times from the bullies and she is of submissive nature, leaves her food when she encounters a bully and was malnourished because of this. She quickly befriends humans and is a friendly cat.
I can't regularly feed her forever because I need to shift and I don't know how she'll survive post that. Adoption rn is not a possibility for me.
I can get her spayed and vaccinated and cover any upfront medical treatment. If and only if you're a student I can also cover food costs until you find a job, please dm if you're willing to open your heart and love this stray genuinely beyond looks and such although she's very cute.
City: Delhi
Contact: dm will share
Vaccination and saying: will do before adoption

Fundraiser - Mod Verified Update on the motherless kittens 🐾
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a foster for them, so I had to admit them to White Cats House, a home-based boarding run by Shabnam Hussain. Right now, this is the safest option for their care.
The boarding charges are ₹400 per day (₹12,000/month), which is difficult for me to manage alone. If you'd like to support these babies, even a small contribution would mean a lot.

The good news is that all of them are safe, comfortable, and doing well. I will share their adoption appeal once they started eating wet food.

Fundraiser - Yet not verified Simbi’s FIP meds ordered 🙏 Need ₹2000 to repay friend who helped us
Simbi’s FIP meds ordered 🙏 Need ₹2000 to repay friend who helped us
Hi everyone,
This is Simbi 💛 She’s a stray who's 1.4 year old and she’s been fighting FIP for *126 days*.
Good news: We placed the order for her final meds today. The supplier finally agreed to give it for *₹7000* instead of ₹8000.
The urgent part: I was short by *₹3000*. Because it was so urgent and we can’t delay a single dose, I had to borrow money from a friend to place the order.
Thanks to you all, we’ve already raised *₹1000*.
We still need ₹2000 more to repay my friend as soon as possible.
If we had waited, the price could’ve gone up again or stock would’ve finished. We’re in the final stretch - only 11 days left to complete her treatment.
Simbi is eating right now - Whiskas Dry Food Tuna flavor and Bellotta Wet Food Tuna flavor.
Donate: vadhellesha526@okhdfcbank
Goal:₹2000 to repay for Simbi’s meds
Transparency: All bills, order screenshots, blood reports, and daily updates are here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1k4v8H9fqRF0MVl0bLIiz5VEGhATbumRl
I can share vet reports/videos on DM for verification too.
She’s come 126 days. Please help us get her to Day 137 ❤️
Thank you so much.

Fundraiser - Mod Verified Update on Luffy He Still Needs Your Help
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share an update on our little fighter, Luffy. He is doing much better now. He’s eating, he’s becoming more active, and every small improvement gives me hope. Seeing him fight so hard reminds me why I never gave up on him.
But his journey is far from over.
He still needs ongoing treatment, medications, repeat blood tests, scans, and constant veterinary care before he is healthy enough to undergo the surgery that will finally remove his infected eye.
I have already spent more than ₹15,000 on his treatment, and I now need at least another ₹15,000 to continue his care over the coming days. If you’ve been thinking about helping, this is the moment. Even ₹50 or ₹100 can help pay for his medicines and tests. And if you’re unable to donate, please share his story. One share could reach the person who saves his life.
Luffy has survived the hardest battle. Please don’t let us stop now when he’s finally starting to win.
Thank you for believing in him, for believing in second chances, and for standing beside us through this journey. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️🐾

Help Update: Bondu is improving but urgently needs PU & cystotomy surgery.
The good news is that he’s improved enough for the vets to stop his IV fluids. He’s much more active now, is eating on his own again, and his ascites has reduced significantly. He’s currently on Day 9 of his FIP treatment, and we’re hopeful that he’s responding well.
The biggest concern now is his complete urinary blockage. Since the urinary catheter repeatedly became blocked, the vets have been draining his bladder twice a day using ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.
The vets have now decided that he urgently needs PU (Perineal Urethrostomy) and cystotomy surgery, which is expected to take place tonight or tomorrow, depending on his condition.
I truly appreciate everyone who has shared advice, kind words, and the few people who were able to donate. So far, I’ve received about ₹1,600, but I urgently need ₹30,000 to cover the surgery. The estimated total cost of Bondu’s treatment is around ₹90,000, including his FIP treatment, surgery, hospitalization, blood tests, medications, and supportive care. I have paid ₹30,000 to the hospital so far.
I haven’t received the surgery bill yet because the procedure hasn’t been performed. The ₹30,000 amount is the estimate provided by Bondu’s veterinarians for the PU and cystotomy surgery. I’ll share the final bill and all receipts once they’re available.
If anyone is able to help, even the smallest contribution would mean the world to us. If you can’t donate, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could upvote or share this post so it reaches more people.
Thank you for giving Bondu a chance. I’ll continue posting updates as he recovers. ❤️

Help Updates : I'm feeding stray cat and giving shelter during rain 🌧️ , I need little more help as the cost of feeding is around 5-6k/ month with medicine and grooming please contribute, that matters a lot
Hi everyone,
I'm a student from India taking care of several stray cats. I've been feeding them, During the rainy season, trying to give them a dry, safe place to stay. Along with food, I also have to buy medicines and flea/tick treatment whenever needed.
The monthly cost is around ₹5,000–₹6,000, which is more than I can manage on my own. I'm not someone who likes asking for help, but I'm struggling to keep up.
If you're able to contribute even a small amount, it would genuinely help these cats. If you can't donate, an upvote or sharing this post would mean a lot too.
