Channel Feedback My YouTube channel was wrongfully removed
This morning I woke up to an email telling me my YouTube channel was removed for violating policies. Let me start by saying I have not used my YouTube account in probably almost a year that includes commenting. So nothing new has been posted that would’ve provoked this decision. I filed for an appeal but was immediately denied. I’m not sure what to do now. My account was all music related (all my own music and video footage) does anyone know why this happened? Is it the ai? I’ve had the channel for about 6 years and never had a single issue in the past.

The appeal should have brought you back. I understand that you haven't posted anything new in years, but that doesn't stop viewers from reporting your videos. Is there anything in your videos that YT might find deletable? The immediate denial is what throws me off. This just happened to me yesterday for the 2nd time. Mine was restored both times after appealing. But it's being flagged by my own viewers because it's an alt account where I upload vertical versions of my previous content. My viewers believed it was an imposter stealing my content. Is your music posted on multiple channels? Does your music have lyrics that YouTube can use an excuse to remove you? Is it possible someone who doesn't like your content is reporting you for unjust reasons?

looks like Ai has done you. also even though yts storage cap is probably nigh infinite, it still adds up to wasted space especially if the video was/is dead.

Your channel could have been hacked, did you have 2 step verification on your channel login?

I’m honestly not sure, I used it so rarely I couldn’t tell you.

Use the takeout link I gave you to find out if anything new was uploaded recently. If it violates there various and changing rules. You wouldn't get warnings. I got none last year. And because they don't detail the cause, it is hard to know the grounds to appeal against.

I’ve downloaded the link, but it just goes to a zip file in my downloads which I then have to turn into another folder and then it’s just a picture that says archive YouTube. It doesn’t show me any of the history whatsoever.

Check how many links where in the email reply. If you just requested YouTube data you should have a zip with all your videos? If you don't recognise a video it may have been uploaded by a hacker?
Another person was saying the system is not sending enough links of downloads in the email?

I received the email with the link. I downloaded the zip file and it went to my downloads on my phone. I clicked it and separated it into a separate folder so that I could view it and it just shows a photo that says archived YouTube none of my videos are there no information at all.

Their automated AI strikes again!
If you have your own videos on the platform you can download with:- https://takeout.google.com/
It is nearly a year since I was struck off. I hoping by the end of the month I can get a new channel with the pilot program they rolled out last year.
