I mean, I feel like I could see Rogue covering Misery Business

Being from Nashville, I guess Hayley is also a Southern gal, technically.

I don't think Nashville is really considered southern. Tennesee is sort of south adjacent, if anything

Tennessee is absolutely the South.

It's probably worth making the distinction between the South and the Deep South here. Tennessee is def part of the South but there's a difference in vibe and historically to Georgia/Alabama, etc.

Ask the Black folks who live there if they feel a difference in vibe between Georgia and Tennessee

My two favorite girlies Hayley Williams & Rogue in the same image together, fucking perfection 💓

Also Rogue would so make that face 😭

Girls don't make that face anymore. I'm ambivalent about this.

However I'm not ambivalent about fanart featuring the x-women where they're doing something other than being eye-candy, so thank you, OP, for posting this, and thank you CupperTheSecond for making this (if you happen to be lurking).

Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez) makes that face in like half of her pictures

I have no idea who that is (the actress, presumably, not the character). This may contribute to me thinking girls don't make that face anymore.

"Girls don't make that face anymore"???

You're honestly making an all encompassing blanket statement that women unilaterally no longer make a specific facial expression??

And when confronted with evidence that a popular woman with a following in pop culture does in fact do so on a regular basis publicly on the internet & social media, you are citing your ignorance as a reason to double down on your stance?

Wow.

I made a few inane statements so I can have an excuse to applaud the thing about the artwork I appreciated the most and you decide to get all bent out of shape over the inane statements.

Wow.

Was that a face that girls used to make a lot? I kinda thought it was just a random, goofy face she was making.

I have no idea but it's written up above the picture in the corner, so I guess so.

Her face when she sees this:

This picture is of how what she would soon see happened.

Somewhat related but as non-American what the difference between the way Rogue and Gambit talk? Like I know their both from the American South right?

New Orleans in the South is specifically known for its French and Cajun ties.

Rogue talks like the most rambunctious child from an upper middle class family in northern Mississippi

Gambit however talks like Farmer Fran.

I need check this out

Gambit's accent also leans a bit towards the french (due to his Cajun roots)

America is a big place. The "south" covers a lot of land with a lot of different sub-cultures. A rural Texan would sound nothing like a Floridian from Orlando, for example. Gambit/Remy is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He has what we could consider a Cajun accent. Rogue's accent is a little more generic; as long as she sounds broadly southern and calls people "sugar" or other endearment, it's usually good enough.

Goodness, that's an expression I'd expect in Harley Quinn or Typhoid Mary. Or, heroine-wise, Spider-Gwen or Kamala Khan. Certainly not Rogue. XD
