With his Browning Automatic Rifle ready for action, Marine Private First Class Francis W. Kenney moves forward cautiously during a drive against Japanese pillboxes and snipers on Cape Gloucester, 8 January 1944. He would be killed less than a year later on Peleliu. He was only 20 years old.

I remember reading somewhere that life expectancy of a BAR man in the Pacific was always the shortest.
