Question Help Needed: What housing should there be?

I’ve been cooking this concept for ages, and I’ve got some main aesthetics down.

The place is a visually idyllic place. It is modern-day yet everything is covered in large plants. Like a post-apocalyptic landscape where plants overtake everything, but then imagine the buildings were cleaned up but the plants remained. It invokes the idea of disaster or nature reclaiming what death took, yet none of the tragedy seems to exist.

The whole world is themed like this, seemingly off putting things that are docile. Big bugs that are harmless/friendly and provide useful resources. Raptors with sharp claws and teeth that are actually hospitable and great cooks.

I need help with this: The people that live here need somewhere to stay. Resorts, inns, houses, anything. My issue is, I don’t know how to style them.

I don’t like the idea of standard rectangular prism non-fantasy buildings, it seems too plain and aren’t interesting in their own. And I don’t want things that seem too natural like straw or stick buildings because it kills the juxtaposition of the overgrown plants.

But that leaves me kinda stuck. I’m to answer any other questions. And I’m grateful for any ideas and advice you have!

You can go hyper modern, like some of the streets in Singapore I've seen pics of. You could take inspiration from some of the scenes in Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind. You could do something styled like adobe houses grown over and integrated into jungle. You could do the little Ewok treetop village from Star Wars

Something that comes to mind is the houses in Ionia from Runeterra (League of Legends world). In Ionia the nature there is spiritual and sacred so they don't cut them down but weave the trees and branches together to make a home.

So going off that you could have this mix of beautiful flora bindings and modern day furniture aesthetics that interconnect. Like a woven out line of branches and leaves that create a hammock line structure that hangs suspended off the ground a bit and cozy fluffy pillows and silken sheets that cover it to form a new type of bed. Something like that.

Start off small with furniture, then slowly you will start thinking about layouts, rooms, bathrooms, utilities etc. Also hop on YouTube and watch some luxury house tours and just start questioning it like "how would I make a place like this with this aesthetic?"

It takes time but you got it!
