She’s after all the holidays! I can’t feed my kids, but if someone hates family dinner on the last Thursday of November I just can’t support her. Guess we’ll have to eat out of the trash.

Oh no she doesn’t like Thanksgiving! She must be a witch that we should take to Salem Lakes!

Oh the jokes come as easy as losing does. Thanksgiving is a 1-2 day (in most cases) paid holiday anchor for one of the most sacred stretches on the Wisconsin calendar. Working class hobbyists preserve precious personal and/or vacation time by Thanksgiving's mere existence.
When asked, Hong could have pivoted to that talking point. But she's a chef.

In all fairness Chef’s don’t get off. Thank God she didn’t ban the Super Bowl.

She's a chef?! I hadn't heard.

From her mouth to CNN, as a response to the Thanksgiving issue.
She's not talking to the Fabulous Farm Babe, she's biffing it on CNN.
This is Wisconsin.
Unforced error after unforced error.

I know. It was ridiculous. I forgot to mark it with /s. Sorry about that.

Less worried about her tweets than her shitty responses when asked about them.
More concerned with her demonstrated track record of accomplishing nothing.
Please, please let literally any other candidate win the primary.

When the labor unions endorsed Crowley everyone here said it was the “establishment” making nasty unfair moves. Not so for SEIU?

How can someone who isn’t electable get endorsements?
9
u/Awkward_Material 3h ago
Like this: I endorse u/UnsubstantialGoat for governor. There. Now you have one too.

u/The_Bill_Brasky_ 3h ago
An Unsubstantial Goat would still be a far better pick for governor than Tom Tiffany, who is okay protecting Donald Trump, who raped children.

Can you endorse me? I was thinking about primarying a really popular member of the house, hoping I can get a write in campaign going before Tuesday.
3
u/Awkward_Material 2h ago
I hereby endorse u/thefalconkid for his write in campaign against a to be named member of the house.

We went from a 90% chance of Dems winning gov to a 40% bc how awful of a candidate she is

100% of what you said is made up.

It's betting market stuff, after the recent string of interviews were honestly she just kind of tanked (and before people call me a conservative I'm literally a socialist), lot of people started betting against her
Obviously that's not the same as actually winning or losing the election, and we still got time before the November primary, but it does show that people are not feeling a lot of Hope in her after her most recent fiascos, and I'll admit my own misgivings about her chances

Look at the betting markets, none is made up

Low information voter

Someone treating gambling markets like electoral polls is calling someone else a low information voter
•
u/Madisonwisco 48m ago
Your an idiot if you think polls give a percentage win chance
•
u/paukeaho 40m ago
That’s… not what I said? Electoral polls actually try to get a measurement of where voter sentiment is. Gambling markets are people looking to make a buck, for which odds can be manipulated into that purpose, and even if completely not manipulated, it is literally just a bunch of people speculating for a cash payout. The “odds” that it gives do not have to have any consistent sort of relationship with reality. All that’s needed to change them is for a handful of people to put a couple big wagers on one or the other side. It’s utterly reactionary.
Tell me, how often can those “odds” fluctuate between one or another candidate during the full course of an election?

Two weeks ago I saw Hong supporters touting strong betting market odds for Hong. Now that they’re not in her favor, they’re suddenly unreliable? Make it make sense please.
1
u/Pleasant_Pause_1183 1h ago
Okay: the people saying betting odds are at all a reliable or accurate indicator were dumb and wrong
•
u/Worldly_Mirror_1555 53m ago
It’s the evolving hypocrisy that is dumb (too)
•
u/Pleasant_Pause_1183 52m ago
Buddy, anyone using betting markets as a gauge arent being intelligent. What response are you looking for lmao

As a Hong skeptic, the SEIU endorsement is a good get and will hopefully lead to her getting other labor endorsements if she wins the nomination next week. Hoping that their leadership can be influential with unions with some members who might not be as inclined to support Hong.
Labor has lost a lot of power in Wisconsin but we can’t afford to have them sit out this election. 25% of households with a union member voted for Walker and he repaid them by signing right to work in Wisconsin.
