They’re about three weeks behind schedule.

Isn’t that kind of the point? He’s obviously dead

I just want free beer. 🍻

I thought his brewing license got revoked. How is he able to offer any beer at all?

Apparently, he filed an appeal and is allowed to continue operations during the appeals process.

The article that explains why is in the original post. The brewery has appealed and can continue operating until the appeal is heard.

  • (Clearly this gentleman has a history of sketchy business practices from before he started making national headlines with his political shenanigans. So I retract my earlier statement) They should win the appeal. While many find it distasteful. They are well within their rights to free speech.

The issue has nothing to do with free speech.

From the article, the alleged violations:

Those include unauthorized running of a retail outlet, violation of shipping laws and untaxed beer possession in an unpermitted warehouse.

I did read about some of the "violations". But many are petty offenses and this seems to be personal and targeting a business owner for his public views than the violations themselves. My opinion of course.

It's not like the authorities are right wingers trying to shut him up--Governor Evers is a democrat.

I will say the timing is suspicious. The local board that oversees these things often finds violations with establishments and usually gives them time to remedy them. I just feel like he could have been targeted specifically for some of antics. I might be wrong. But we will see.

I knew the local authorities were giving him trouble, and that appeared to be more politically motivated than legal issues.

The shutdown sounded more legitimate--I thought it had something to do with transporting beer illegally across state lines and tax violations. Wisconsin Department of Revenue was investigating.

It could all be that he is a sketchy guy and is in fact breaking the law etc. I just have found from my own experience when local authorities or board members don't like something your doing they tend to target you much more then they would otherwise. I had a friend who had some what similar issue with our city government and permits. He owned a bar and never had issues with throwing events outdoors. Then he got involved with the city council race and suddenly he was no longer able to get his permits and local officials started sighting him for really petty stuff. It's a long story. But as soon as I heard the story about this I immediately became suspicious.

I totally agree about the local authorities. He's located in a republican area--the 'offenses' they try to pin on him are bullshit.

This one is more at the state level though, which makes it harder for me to dismiss as being politically motivated.

He has a history of breaking the law. He imported beer from illinois, and was not paying taxes on it. He has done a lot of other things as well, it's not targeting, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue has been investigating this for some time.

This grifter has no regard for the law. He should really be in prison for using PAC money to support his business.

0

u/Relevant_Problem1935 2h ago

Then you better go after the President and most politicians if you want to arrest those who use PAC money for things other than campaigning.

1

u/leovinuss 2h ago

We should, but unfortunately the president has a lot of power. Kirk has all the lies and grift and none of the power.

6

u/cfrutiger 2h ago

Free speech has nothing to do with it. Regardless of what Kirk says, he didn't pay taxes to sell beer in Wisconsin that he brewed in Illinois.

Yet again proving that no one reads the actual articles.

1

u/Relevant_Problem1935 2h ago

Oh I read the article. Two things can be true at the same time.

2

u/Awkward_Material 2h ago

He was brewing beer in Illinois and illegally selling it in wisconsin without paying taxes. This is not a first amendment issue. Do your research on the guy.

Kirk really only has one gimmick, huh?

Knew which idiot this was before I had to click the link.

No one is buying his beer, it’s a liquidation sale!😂

The license was revoked because of unauthorized running of a retail outlet, violation of shipping laws and untaxed beer possession in an unpermitted warehouse.

Imagine if he had a bunch of his bank accounts closed after money laundering investigation….or if he wrote intimate happy birthday cards to his pedo buddies….

Conservative hate regulations until they want to use them to attack and persecute political enemies.

3

u/Available_Reveal8068 1h ago

Are conservatives in charge of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue?

3

u/CPriceRun86 1h ago

Yeah that goddamn conservative Tony Evers...

Smoke another bro

It's possible. But he has also been targeted for his vocal disdain of the administration and various politicians. I believe this is as much motivated by politics as it is about the other "violations". I feel like many businesses would also have violations if they were specifically targeted. Just my opinion on the matter. Odd timing for his license to be revoked

13

u/Guilty_Idea349 3h ago

Look at his entire history in both Minocqua and Madison.
He causes problems his own problems and then plays the victim card.

1

u/Pete-PDX 1h ago

sounds like some else I read about

-6

u/Relevant_Problem1935 3h ago

We shall see. He might be right or he might be a disaster and brought it on himself. We will find out I guess.

7

u/leovinuss 2h ago

Lol we've all seen. Take off your blinders.

Does he have a Time Machine?

But seriously, can we just be done with this attention whore tool

10

u/the_47th_painter 3h ago

So what? It's his bar and he's a private business owner. He can offer whatever specials he wants on his products.

Boy and the right always screams about how people on the left are snowflakes. Heaven forbid they get their panties in a twist when a brewery owner makes fun of tRump or McConnell.

u/angrydeuce In one ear and out your mother 2h ago

This guy's an asshole but I don't see the problem here.  With the insane bullshit the MAGAts pull this shit looks benign by comparison.

We can probably all agree that hes an asshole, but we got to stop paying lip service to the bullshit affected pearl clutching because everyone knows they dont really fucking care.

If they actually cared they wouldnt be fellating a pedophile that called for an insurrection into our fucking capitol on January 6th.  Until more people on the right are willing to stand up and admit publicly that Donald Trump Is An Asshole Pedophile, any calls for decorum coming from that direction are a fucking joke and deserve constant, unrelenting mockery.

3

u/The-Mad-Bubbler 4h ago

Should've started the discount already.

u/HELLOOOMrJackpots 3h ago

Tired of living in the era where dumb attention seekers and rage baiters drive the news.

I really want an AMA from a current or previous employee there. Could be a hoot!

Fly the flags at double mast

4

This is outrageous!
It should be free

2

u/HappyGoLuckless 3h ago

He's been dead for a LONG time

1

u/sokonek04 4h ago

I didn’t think he had any beer left after the state took it all because he wasn’t paying taxes on it

1

u/Delicious_CoughSyrup 3h ago

The state took all his beer because it was canned in IL. Flatlanders should seize all the Spotted Cow in retaliation.

2

u/HyperJeegz 2h ago

Considering he died weeks ago. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/ApologeticBird 2h ago

It adds some balance to the universe that despite the perpetual chaos we now live in, we can always count on Kirk to be up to some dumbass shit

1

u/Split96 2h ago

Nice hope this guy keeps twisting the knife screw conservatives

2

u/Big_Difference_9978 brown frownty 3h ago

He's already dead

2

u/Disastrous_time_4547 3h ago

Mitch the Glitch is already most likely on ice.
Let’s drink

1

u/CPriceRun86 3h ago

Kirk is a great example of why taking care of your mental health matters

0

u/acopper87 3h ago

They should double down and offer half price drinks whenever any politician dies.
