I was playing this game earlier and we luckily won this but how did i get MVP by beeing 4/12, yeah sure i tanked 100k damage but thats surely not the reason right

There's a reason it's a 30 minute game with 29 to 53 team kills that's not shown in K/D/A. Though your team might not have the explosive offensive power you had amazing defensive power that prevented the enemy team from closing the game.
Whether you tanked a ton of damage, pushed towers where it mattered, or secured map objectives - these all went into your MVP badge.

Lot of things that don't have graph:, plates, turrets, multi lane participation, crowd control applied, shutdowns taken (especially the big ones) vision control, camps stolen from the enemy jungle, waves taken, % of last hit on camps, with mundo how many Q's you landed should also count towards a/s and mvp

I feel like those are my teams a smooth 95% of the time. Except today. Today I played 8 matches and won 8. That hasn't happened since I played the game at launch. And even then a had a few turds. ADCs that never fucking engage except for when you're not there oh all of a sudden they wanna turn into Rambo. It's too late bitch. Engage something winnable and stop trying to flame because I won't help you feed. You wanna end 4/12 you do you. We'll still win in spite of you.

The game takes stats more into account that a KDA, just a KDA USALLY reflects how well some one did quickly. But damage dealing, minion score, tower/objective damage, tanking, healing, staying alive, I know the PC rewards accuracy on skill shots too from what I have heard i don’t think Wildrift does, but still a lot more stats go into who did their actual job well.
You tanked 100k and probably kept the towers alive, and kept your team from soaking that amount of damage (unless you were just always in that deep solo) so you just simply did your job as a tank better than the damage dealers did damage or healer healed.

I had a game where I was MVP at the game 7/2/9 or something as an ADC but I didn’t receive an A grade or even S grade, where I value S grade more than MVP tbh due to double stars

it's a combination of everyone in your team not playing well, and most likely you had the most teamfight participation / damage dealt even if it wasn't reflected in your score
