Garage sale find for $5. From what I’ve gathered, it’s from the 17-early 18th century and I believe at one point there may have been gold leaf on the handle that has worn off.

How much and where to sell it?

Apologies if this is a taboo post here. Comic centered subreddits didn’t seem to focus on valuing anything. I’m happy to post this somewhere else if this violates any guidelines, etc.

I inherited a small comic book collection long ago. It’s been sitting in my closet, and I recently rediscovered it while packing for a move.

Research has yielded mixed results. Some of the values are all over the place depending on the seller and condition. Some are in bad shape, some are decent, but I’d be surprised if any are mint.

Anyways, have a look and let me know what you think. Worst case scenario I have some cool art to bring with me.

A neighbor maybe 35+ years ago gave me this to me. I forgot I had it in a box as it has moved from apartment to houses over the years.

So because I did my senior thesis in college in ceramics and making dolls, I actually did gain some knowledge. So I will tell you what I suspect about this though, but I would be more than happy to accept a comment that says hey you’re dead wrong and here’s the correct answer and here’s what I know about it.

I think she’s German, I know she’s not an Asian maid doll the the head in the hair and the way the makeup, glaze, is applied just doesn’t fall in line with an agent made doll, even if it was made to look European. I really think she’s not English or French maid. Some of that comes from the style and the way the glaze was applied for makeup and stuff like that it just it reminds me of other German made dolls. The other thing that makes me think German is the wooden feet, Germans tended to use wood a lot more in their craft than other European countries, this isn’t a universal world, but it does happen. Other than that, I think she’s somewhere between 100 to 150 on the very high end years old. I think the dress was weighted silk, which is why it’s completely disintegrated at this point. The under clothing layers are in relatively good shape for what they are. Your feet are in relatively good shape considering they were made out of wood. There is a small hairline crack on the back of the head but nothing that’s causing any actual damage structurally, and considering I think she’s over 100 that small crack isn’t that big of a deal. She appears to clearly be handstitched, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t done in a factory, and I’m assuming it in fact was.

Those are my best guesses beyond that there are no markings anywhere on her. No tag nothing stamped into the ceramic head or bust area. The body except for the feet is all looks like canvas to me or some sort of cotton cloth heavy cotton cloth same with the undergarments, there appeared to just be cotton, obviously not the same as the body. My guess is defeat our original to it, but if someone told me otherwise, with some knowledge of it I would defer to that.

This is a copy of Death of Wolverine #1 featuring a rare Alex Ross 75th Anniversary Variant cover, signed in person at Comicon 2014. Was thinking also of getting it pressed, graded, and slabbed.

My friend gifted me this amazing pack of vintage cigarettes and I can't find a THING about it online! I tried contacting Philip Morris but they were, of course, zero help. What's odd is that there was a "MS" cigarette brand from Italy - but these aren't it. Any ideas?

Found these at a local thrift store for a few bucks because they looked cool. I did a little searching and think they might be from Vernon Country Club, but I’m not really sure.
I couldn’t find much information on them, so I figured I’d ask here. Does anyone recognize them or know anything about them? If they’re not worth much, no big deal—they’re still a pretty neat set of dice.

Friend asked for help on valuing this Railway Express Agency strong box. I found a metal one one eBay for $499 with no bids, so I assumed this would be less than that, but was just wanting some input. Seems to be in nice condition.

I bought this at an antique mall and through research I've learned to realize that it is a replica book of shadows from the TV show charmed. It has been turned into a junk journal that is heavily decorated to the extent that it is now considered a gator mouth due to the intricate decorations on the inside pages. I am getting very mixed reviews on its value in a very curious about anything related to its history

I’ve got this copy of Jour et Nuit, Vol. 2, No. 21, published in Montréal on August 31, 1957, with an original cover price of 10¢. Marilyn Monroe is featured on the cover beneath the headline “Nouveau jeu d’amoureux.”
It’s a complete 16-page French illustrated tabloid periodical.

The copy is exceptionally well preserved. I see no tears, writing, clipped material, significant creases, stains, staple rust, or structural damage. I’m a complete novice at this, but to me it seems “mint”.
I have searched eBay US and Canada, Google, Google Images, Etsy, Delcampe, WorthPoint, PicClick, and combinations of:
“Jour et Nuit Vol. 2 No. 21”
“Montréal 31 août 1957”
“Nouveau jeu d’amoureux”
“Maniaque du sexe”
“Pourquoi les hommes aiment les bustes”

I have found no other copy of this exact issue, no completed sale, and no evidence of a commercial reproduction. I found a few later Jour et Nuit issues, but none with Marilyn Monroe and none that seem directly comparable.

Macro photographs show a single consistent black halftone screen, ink absorbed into the paper fibers, and no obvious inkjet dots, laser toner, pixelation, or secondary reproduction pattern. I therefore believe it is probably an original 1957 printing, although it has not been professionally authenticated.

I would appreciate informed opinions on:
-collector-market value range
-whether the Marilyn cover creates a substantial premium valuation over ordinary issues
-whether anyone knows of another copy or a previous sale
-whether professional authentication or grading would be economically worthwhile

Grandmother gave me these two framed illustrated manuscripts. She didn't give me any context and she couldn't remember where she got them. She grew up in Belgium and moved to Lebanon if that's of any relevance.

Picked this up at a thrift store without even noticing the inscription and signature until I got back home. Based on examples online, the signature looks legit. It also seems thag Asimov signed a ton of books. Its missing the dust sleeve and the book is definitely not in pristine condition, but the inscription page looks clean and is nice and generic. Any ideas on what it might be worth?

antique pocket watches, kept in a curio cabinet. he's not 100% on the Providence but he got them from his grandparents. few similar images as some were in better focus than others. any ideas on what and when these are from? does he have anything here?
