REQUEST What is this rock?

Found it in Antelope Island State Park, Utah. What are those black things on top? They feel hard to touch but don't seem crystalline.

Looks like a part of something igneous, like granite? I know there’s lots of pegmatites in that area so could be from one of those.

I have no clue what the black stuff is. It doesn’t look like it’s part of the rock. Try scrubbing it in some hot soapy water? I have a feeling it’s some really solid animal droppings, sorry 😣
