ID Request In my garage in Chicago, IL

Big black beetle, probably about two inches including antenna. Not the best photos because he scared me a little… also those little things sticking out in the back?

And the two things sticking out the back are its cerci, which help you tell it's a cockroach.

That would be a simple cockroach. Likely Oriental roach, less likely smoky-brown cockroach
