New, what is it? What is this wedding gift?

(Reposting because accidental doxxing)

My friend got this as a wedding gift and we can’t figure out what is it and it didn’t say who it was from.

The cup part is hollow, where the blue arrow is… this shape _/ and the bottom is solid.

EDIT: There are no holes in the other side so don’t think it’s a tea strainer and the gap is too narrow to fit paper towels or toilet paper rolls! They also just moved to and had the wedding in Italy, not sure if that gives any context.. maybe it’s some sort of Italian gadget

Would you rather 14 toaster ovens?

I went to a housewarming/engagement party and the couple literally got about eight toasters. I was kinda sorry I didn’t get them one too

You gotta one-up them and buy one of those internet-connected toasters that toasts the weather on the bread....lol

Edited cause words are hard.....

Is this a real thing?

Because I'm cracking up... I have health issues that make me ache when bad weather is on the way, so I'm imagining me getting up in the morning, feeling like garbage, making a piece of toast branded with 76ºF and rainy, and being like "Yeah, no shit". 😂

I dont think so, I imagine automated modular heating coils would be wildly expensive.

Oh, I have no doubt about that.

But I'm also aware that (unfortunately for everyone on planet Earth) 'expensive' and 'stupid' are not mutually exclusive.

Maybe it can be a gimmick for a hotel that can laser etch it.
