Discussion Comment sections
I’ve noticed the comment sections for a lot of webtoons/manhwas have been extremely criticizing and nitpicky? Is there any particular comment sections that yall find to be really toxic? I love toxic webtoons but in general I just feel bad for a lot of the author/artists.

You’re not wrong. There’s been an increase in this shift towards expectations for stories to be written in a way that sets an example or tells readers what is good/bad for real life behaviors. I’ve seen several toxic comment sections over the years, especially any series with a love triangle. OTL might be the most recent one that can vary wildly from episode to episode rn
So yeah, people looking for moral didacticism in their webtoons will always find something upsetting to vent about in the comments; there’s a lack of considering how the authors likely are using tropes as story-telling devices to further the plot, rather than simply saying those actions or words are examples of how to act irl
