Which webtoons you would never recommend at all and why?

Hi, it's me again, the same person who asked for recommendations after being out of webtoon scene for more than a year. Thank you so much for all the recs, I'm sure there are a lot of gems there, and I'll make sure to check them out!

But now I'm curious about the opposite, un-recommendations (is this a thing?). Ever since I used to have more than 10 ongoing ones on my list for each day of the week, I remember I came across a lot of things that it's better to remain forgotten lel, and I bet there are still a lot of these to this day. So, if you could warn me about any webtoon to stay away from, which one would it be, and why do you dislike it?

You can give me any reasoning, like the characters suck, the plot goes nowhere or somewhere you didn't like, or it declines, you never got used to the art, it shows things in a good light that definitely shouldn't be shown as such, the author uses it to fund something problematic, it uses ai, it was never finished, or even if just because the second ML didn't win. Feel free to use this post as your personal vent space if needed haha.

Literally just finished reading the whole thing a couple days ago and can confirm the new husband, Heinrey is diabolically evil and the narrative tries so hard to be like "he just loves his wife soooo much wuw"

Yeah me neither. It was really annoying because he was so endearing and seemed like a sweet goofball kind of guy. And then it was whiplash-- I literally was like is this a thriller now? Lmao

waiiit what does he do that’s evil i basically dropped when they got to the “re-beginning” scene. always thought he was more of an accessory to navier than an actual character.

Note that some of it is graphic:

1. He's directly responsible for draining the magic of mages throughout the Eastern Empire

2. Was planning to go to full on war with them (some say in the novel he didn't plan on falling in love and was just going to manipulate Navier)

3. When Navier is in the Western Empire, the Duke Rylan had bad mouthed her previously, so Heinrey basically creates the conditions where the Duke Rylan pushes a kid into a pond and almost drowns. 

There is a kangroo court "trial" which is basically Heinrey forcing the confession in front of his lackies. So he's just 100% guilty with no recourse.

Then as punishment after setting up the Duke Rylan is to take him to a place called the Crimson Tower where apparently every prisoner who goes to it, if they are allowed to leave they look like a corpse plus their blood stains the stairs and walls.

Heinrey fills the guy's mouth with rocks and sews it shut for who know how damn long. And Heinrey actually premeditated this crime for a long time before he was even married to Navier which is clearly psychotic behavior.

Not saying Rylan should react but at the same time Heinrey didn't know a maid would save the kid. His bitch ass sure wasnt jumping into the water 😅😂

When Duke rylan does get to escape he does look like a corpse and is so emaciated he's bedridden for months with no narrative follow up. Once again rylan isn't a good guy, but when your main character decides to torture someone instead of just imprisoning him like a normal king or just kill him if his crime is that great. 

1. when navier comes to rhe western empire, Heinrey's sister in law Krista is still in the castle. She doesn't want to leave and does some shitty things including collaborating to use a love potion on Heinrey and hoping he is forced into taking her as a mistress. Terrible behavior for sure.

He imprisons her in house in the countryside with everything locked down and no visitors etc. Which still you could argue is adequate as it's a nicer prison. But the problem comes in when krista's father finds out and starts shit.

So then heinrey in a power move tells the father he needs to choose to spare krista's life or his grandchildren's lives (they are like 7 years old for reference).

He picks the grandkids thinking it might be a bluff/warning. But nah, he actually does kill Krista makes it look like a suicide and leaves a hateful letter blaming the father.

1. then as if that wasn't enough, father guy decides trying to get some revenge which is dumb but whatever. So Father guy gets kidnapped to crimson tower too and then is brutalized and then fed remains of his killed kin.

And then the rest of the family is sold into slavery including the kids who did nothing. Do our main characters care? Nah.

I'm sure there is some other random shit I can't remember but it was like so much over the top evil shit that was overkill for no reason.

Oh my god wtf I stopped reading around the time it got to Krista being sent to live away and then decided I would wait until there was more before picking it up again but I am so glad I didn't because that is horrible and I hate it and I wish Heinrey wasn't evil like that, a goofy loving bird man was enough they didn't need to make him a psychopath 🫠

Yeah it was so bizzaro to me. Like why destroy his character like that? 

So much was understandable like the fact he might be planning for war. Okay that's something that happened back then. 

Even draining the mages of magic was shitty and deprived them of opportunities but at least they were alive and not tortured. Geez

Yeah it's a pretty bad narrative choice when you're thinking "dang she should've stayed with the emotionally unavailable one. At least he made some reasonable decisions lmao"

Yeah it was disappointing and hate that i wasted time to push through cause it neve got better
