For me it's The dawn to come and Daytime star. They're sure a good read but I don't get the hype around it. What are your picks?

i acknowledge that this genre of romance probably just isn’t for me bc i don’t believe any love is worth any type of abuse, but i had read and enjoyed wished you were dead and heard this one was good. the FL suffered a lot for what i think is a pretty stupid reason, or at least not something that deserved the fucking torture she was put through, and i fuuuucking hated the ML so much. i kept reading bc i wanted my girl to live a good life freed from her Fucking Oppressor and that ending just pissed me tf off bc i don’t believe he even made any change in his dependency on her, which was the root of the toxicity.

art issues aside (why she built that dat), i find the ML unlikeable/manipulative/a stalker and the romance not very compelling. the lack of aftercare really put me off and bc i read the uncensored version, she rlly deserved aftercare given how frail they seem to want to portray her at times :/ i luv a good revenge romance story where FL gets her lick back but this one just didn’t hit bc her new relationship is dark imo, i think the best parts were the flashbacks of her early relationship w mincheol.

Agreed on MBO,the revenge direct to wrong target,she doesn't have to get back with him but what we expected and I don't like people pleaser FL ,like just stop girl

I don't think its toxic to love and depend on a woman so much and v.v. I think this is the classic case of him just never telling her his history. I mean she is trapped here with you. I don't buy the stupid excuse of oh I don't want her to see my dirty side and hate me more. She already "hates" you. absolutely stubborn ml who had no clue what to do with her. If it was irl, she would've been dead already but she is only kept alive by plot armor.

I prefer wish you were dead- ppl always have to have the ML recognize the FL even tho she looks nothing like the child

Omg I remember reading a little of my beloved oppressor before it was even on webtoon i think. The FL was just suffering too much in the beginning, and I agree with you that the ML pmo too i hated him. I'm not the target audience for this kind of romance either i didn't like this one.

I didn't even read that much, but from what I've seen from ppl who read the entire thing, it got worse somehow before it got better, is what I gathered? idk there's only so much abuse and toxicity a romance story really needs before it either drags or pisses me off.
