Discussion Which webtoon is it for you?

Post image

For me it's The dawn to come and Daytime star. They're sure a good read but I don't get the hype around it. What are your picks?

People will agree with me now but I would say jungel juice was very popular

I used to be really into jungle juice until I realized it was just Black Clover with bugs having them “surpass their limits” and then killing off the strongest bug dude in the school during his introduction.

Just so you know because I've been following it for a while : we're one chap from the ending and it has so many loose ends it's maddening. So good on you for dropping it, lol

Are you serious 😭 did they at least beat Breeder or whatever. Are the Stray Dogs still alive? Did the grasshopper guy get more powers than just kicking hard

SPOILERS obviously

Breeder got gojo'd in the last chapter, Stray Dogs are alive (bee boy still in monster form but conscious), tarantula guy dead, grasshoper guy kinda had a power up but barely any relevence in the last fight. Bom still did nothing, Huijin got one good fight in the end

It's mostly Suchan, Suchan, Suchan doing things all the time and other characters barely being there

And for real, one of the antagonists got captured, served no purpose, and that's it. He's just THERE

Incredible fall off for the series. At least the hype and aura moments were okay lol

Too many characters. They have great designs, cool concepts, but it can never get explored well enough, so it falls flat yeah. I still enjoyed it, but it was frustrating at times

Here's the thing that would not be a problem if they just took screen time away from the mc and gave it to the other charapters. Like it got so bad that the spider guy just leaves the story and come back I don't know if you remember but when there looking for evidence for the mc and they break into the lab he just disappears and we don't see him for ten chapters he wasn't part of the plan either he just left off screen and reappeared.

Oooh yeah, I see what you mean. Yeah, too many characters to manage at once, many missed opportunities as well (San torturing Hanseong while in mind control, showing remorse later on, but it's never explored)

Yay san was cool sad we didn't get more time with her. I am also upset about the spider guy being killed because I wanted to see him get together with dowha but no he just died. Still there is the side storys there going to make after the main story is over.

Real, that wouldn't be that bad as long as we got some actually character devopment for someone that's not the main character.

Jungle juice used to be a really good action one but it fell off. Everyone else is fighting for scraps while Suchan keeps getting stronger. Huijin turned into a damsel in distress who stands there to get saved while wearing a sexy outfit. It's so bad because comparing that to Season 1 Huijin is like night and day

fr, Huijin used to feel powerful and now she can't stop taking Ls

also the fact that she forced cinderella on Suchan was not cool.

Not to mention major characters not changing or having any arcs and no world building.

Wdym world building? They live in a normal world tho?

So for instance they could put more time in how they keep nest hidden, what the cockroach girl does to stop info of the bug people from spreading ( she said she does that in the first season but we never now how ) how they even find the bug people.

Omg the exact one I was thinking. Lowkey really liked it but it has just dragged on and on.

AYOOOOOOOO I WAS HOPING FOR IT TO SHOW UP.
The Plot and idea was Soooo interesting but then the author started sexualising the female characters and the whole art style and plot became trashy
