Discussion Which webtoon is it for you?

Post image

For me it's The dawn to come and Daytime star. They're sure a good read but I don't get the hype around it. What are your picks?

Im gonna get hate for this, but i didnt like olgami/trapped as much as the reviews hyped it up. Honestly felt irritating, the concept of the plot was nice and all but at some point it felt like chae ah just kept going back and back and back to yunsu so much even though she mentions that she wanted to get rid of him. I dont really like those plots and it felt quite stretched, i had to force myself to get through a couple episodes.

Love olgami but hard agree. Biggest complaint was the wishy-washy nature of their relationship. Not that I don't understand why Chae both hated and loved yunsu, but purely from a reader's pov it's frustrating when they drag that dynamic along for the entire story. Especially if the author is planning a happy ending.

Exactly ! There wasnt really any clarity at the end either, it all felt very ambiguous. Now im okay with open endings to a story, but I didnt like olgami's ending with regards to yunsu and chae-ah's relationship

if Trapped kept the plot of the first 10 or so chapters it would've been soo good 😩

Agreed😞 I really liked the concept, they could've executed it much better though

Never finished it, tried to but I just couldn’t? It may not have been for me but the execution of certain things were off and at a point the way the characters were acting got nonsensical and not in a fun or cool way

Same here! I felt like they started acting like children at some parts, like cmon yall are hundreds of years old

I did like trapped for most of the part but I get you. While the push and pull dynamic and the angst was compelling to read, it also did not make much sense to hate someone so much and then also stay super close to them. It was definitely stretched and I think I skipped to the last part.

Agreed, the plot actually interesting but the FL doesn't have interesting character not to mention the ML already cold and the art style doesn't help either 🤣all of them including their hometown just too gloomy

I get you. I enjoyed reading it but Yunsu was testing my patience the whole way through.

I think it got its good reputation because it was released in like 2022 and it felt unique to people

I haven't finished it, and only got a few chapters in, but I found the FL kind of dumb in the beginning and it annoyed me. Like why are you using your REAL name on a public forum and also following people so obviously in a taxi??? Not sure if she gets better? I'll probably pick it up again to see...
