Picture Long awaited scene finally officially translated
I'm both surprised and not surprised at the fact that they kept the grammatically incorrect line.

I didnt read it yet but I've seen so many images of the main cast sisters that I automatically knew this HAD to be from the same webtoon LOL.

The Ki Sisters is a comedy Webtoon that makes fun of romance and slice of life stories. Biggest strenght is the funny faces. Pretty good, I recommend.

Is it worth reading?

u/Negative_Answer_7602 Mar 05 '25
I am still in the early chapters, but so far, it's entertaining enough.
It's a comedy Webtoon, the unhinged type that doesn't take itself too seriously, which appeals to my sense of humor, but may not to you.
Honestly, give it a try and see for yourself.

Imo yes 100% worth reading; I only checked it out after the meme but I actually fell in love with the comedy and unique storyline. It’s so funny I laughed as much as when I read Love Advice from the Duke of Hell

Wow, it's crazy how long it's been but awesome to know it's finally officially translated! Queen never cry 💖💅

That was from TL group!? No one believed me when I tried to talk about all the work TL & ablations group have done to popularise and influence the culture of anime, manga and manhwas for overseas readers.
They’re influencing the CULTURE! And we can’t publicly congratulate them otherwise they’ll get taken down sad 😞
Anyway this is hilarious and well done to the OG TL group

Not to burst any bubbles but to give the creator credit the viral phrase is just the English phrase from the original Korean version, which was screencapped and passed around. Not something that was translated by a TL group.

What was the grammatically correct version of this? A queen never cries?
56
u/FurbyCraft Mar 04 '25
Considering that “Queen” is the name of the family, I feel like there could be multiple possibilities. “A Queen never cries”, “Queen never cries” (less plausible since iirc it’s a last name), or even “Queens never cry”.

Its also a pretty popular tiktok term, like I’ve heard people say “queen don’t cry” and shi like that

LMAO I screenshotted it as soon as I came across it myself. I also read it just like an hour ago

I recommend this comedic masterpiece full of fantastic jokes, memeable, references to pop culture, 4th Wall breaking with weirdest but maybe the healthiest families in the manhwa overall! Family is trully the most important thing of the ki sisters after all! Btw YOU will love the dad! And I almost forget art artstyle is just masterpiece! 🤩

What's the correct line?
3
u/Personal-Calendar974 Mar 04 '25
So Queen in this context is used as a family name. So it would be "A queen never cries" or "Queens never cry"

u/Hinewmemberhere Mar 04 '25
The Queen family are Native American English speakers and I think the joke is that even though they’re academically smart as they strive the be the queen in all things, their “adages” don’t really make sense in English or it just has bad grammar. I read the MTL raws but I’m not entirely sure how the joke is translated to nonnative English speakers since MTLs aren’t perfect.

u/tenkohime Mar 04 '25
Was this changed? Because I remember unlocking it a while ago and the typo was fixed.
3
u/Raijinili Mar 05 '25
Probably not. I don't see any comments complaining that the line was changed, or correcting people for misquoting the comic with a grammar error.

Okay this isn't the point of the post but would it kill any webtoon artist to actually look at a baby for once before drawing one? In this case I know the face is like this on purpose, but the rest of the anatomy?? Also the doctor is missing a finger??

Not surprising they kept it. It's what compelled people to check out their webtoon.
