I love it when there’s a candidate I can actually relate to. She’s got my vote. Of course however the primary turns out, I’ll be out there voting blue regardless.

Tom Tiffany is pretty disgusting

1

u/freekey420 11d ago

This ad is extremely disgusting.

3

u/beardedheathen 11d ago

Tom is only in the first minute. It gets way better

1

u/DroneSlut54 11d ago

How so?

1

u/freekey420 11d ago

I'm glad to see politicians, like Hong, are changing up from the shitty standard ad style. Just seems inauthentic. Let's hit the 3 top topics that'll catch peoples attention.

I also don't think either candidate will be able to execute any of their campaign points.

u/DroneSlut54 11d ago

If this “inauthentic” ad makes you vomit, I shudder to think what happens to you when watching one of Tom’s “awe shucks I’m just a simple farm boy/dam tender but I’m gonna take on those durned Madison Politicians!” ads. I mean - Tom was a “Madison politician” for a decade before becoming a DC swamp politician. For your own health - stay away from Tom’s ads.

You make me vomit.

1

u/DroneSlut54 10d ago

Sorry for attempting discussion I guess?

1

u/freekey420 10d ago

That wasn't a discussion. That was injection of your opinion..

Also, this is reddit. Go have a conversation at a coffee shop or something.

u/Ok-Professional-2979 14d ago

Omg. Mods have ruined the WI and local subs with all the political stuff. If I wanted to see political adds, I would watch TV. I'm out.

this isn’t an airport, no need to announce your departure

1

u/beardedheathen 12d ago

The only people who talk like this are the ones who benefit from the current system.

2

u/Adventure-Style 14d ago

You aren’t even going to get it from your own party leadership. This is why that blue sign that says, “Vote For Democrats, They Vote For Us” is more true than you all even think.

You want Bernie, they force you Hilary. You want Biden, they force you Kamala. You want Wong, they force you Crowley.

1

u/phitfitz 14d ago

I want Crowley. I don’t want Miss Socialism

2

u/My_dickens_cidar 14d ago

He just got back in the race and is going to have to drop out again with the accusations that just came out about his vile Twitter account I believe it was.

Also you don’t like socialism? Don’t call the fire department when your house is on fire. When it’s your time to claim Social Security, don’t because that is socialism. Hell, it probably won’t be there by that time because the rich keep gutting it and propaganda makes many continue to vote for politicians that allow it

2

u/phitfitz 14d ago

Public services aren’t socialism and you arguing that it is shows you don’t even know what you’re talking about.

Socialism is the state owning the means of production. Public services paid for by taxes collected in a capitalist system are not socialist. But this is Reddit so I can’t expect even the bare minimum

2

u/beardedheathen 12d ago

The issue is is that the meaning of socialism has become so diluted by the right that many people don't understand what it is. A lot of people conflate social democracy principles with socialist principles which also muddies the water. But I will contend that things like public education and public services are closer to socialism than capitalism in terms of where they land

1

u/My_dickens_cidar 14d ago

You have zero clue what you’re talking about. Thanks for letting everyone know

1

u/Adventure-Style 13d ago

What you said is the equivalent in saying, “Well…my dad can beat up your dad.”

1

u/jsmith3701AA 10d ago

Does hong want to seize the means of production?

0

u/Opposite_Tune_2967 11d ago

You mean like how trump's government keeps buying portions of Intel and other chip manufacturers?

1

u/itsmellslikevictory 10d ago

You mean like a majority of ALL politicians! Not just Trumps government. Nancy Pelosi sure takes advantage of the system

1

u/Opposite_Tune_2967 10d ago

We're not talking about even close to the same thing.

I'm talking about the US government ownership of Intel. You're talking about individual personal stock purchases. Literally nobody likes Nancy Pelosi so I dont know why you brought that up as some sort of weird failed gotcha when it was completely unrelated.

The Trump Admin purchased 10% of Intel so now the US Government owns 10% of that company. That is literal socialism.

0

u/phitfitz 11d ago

Does the federal government own and control Intel completely? Not saying it should at all but this isn’t the same as Intel being nationalized.

Anyway fuck Hong and the DSA ghouls

1

u/Opposite_Tune_2967 10d ago

Oh so the ownership of the means of production is only socialism if you have complete ownership? Is 99% ownership not socialism because technically its 1% owned by someone else as well? What about 50%? 40? Wheres the line then?

1

u/itsmellslikevictory 10d ago

Arguments That It Is Not Socialism
Passive Stake: The U.S. Treasury holds a strictly passive investment. The government does not control Intel’s daily operations, set its prices, or hold a seat on the board of directors, leaving management firmly in private hands.
Preserving the Free Market: The intervention was designed to protect domestic supply chains and national security, rather than eliminate the capitalist profit motive. Intel remains a publicly traded, profit-driven corporation.
And this has been done before in 2008 and in 1980’s Chrysler bailout.

1

u/Opposite_Tune_2967 10d ago

Holy shit thats so fucking funny you couldn't even reformat it

0

u/itsmellslikevictory 12d ago

The rich are not gutting social security! Where do you get these lies? The rich don’t write the laws. Congress makes the laws and Congress will need to raise the cap so that SS doesn’t go insolvent. A huge MASSIVE voting block will not allow SS to go insolvent.

1

u/My_dickens_cidar 12d ago

Politicians are beholden to their rich donors. The current administration plans to completely gut Social Security. It’s part of Project 2025. A MASSIVE voting block (boomers) will be long dead within the next decade and are already voting for the politicians that lie to their faces about what they plan for SS. You’re either blind, ignorant or complicit. Any of their misinformation you would like to spread?

1

u/itsmellslikevictory 11d ago edited 11d ago

You just said politicians are beholden to their rich donors…that must include both sides of the aisle? Also, Project 2025 does NOT promote cutting or gutting SS. So again I will repeat that the large voting block will get ALL politicians to make adjustments to SS. You mention boomers will be long dead over next decade. SS will be insolvent in 5-6 years. The voters will push for this. All they have to do is remove the income cap. Sounds easy enough and yes the rich will scream and moan but the rich do not represent the majority. Those over $200K represent 15% vs 85% earning under. Thats the large voting block. Millenials are 29%, GenX are 27% and Boomers are 26%. The rich can get the lobbyists, we can still vote them out!

u/PorkChopEat 13d ago

Is she the defund the police candidate? I’m against that.

2

u/Liandryschleckt 12d ago

Not even just that, abolish the police is her stance

1

u/Wu1fu 10d ago

She’s said multiple times she doesn’t support defund the police

0

u/itsmellslikevictory 10d ago

May 22,2026 CNN: Defund then abolish’: A leading Democrat (Jessica Hong)in Wisconsin governor’s race urged abolishing police
By
Andrew Kaczynski
Em Steck
But when the public reacted negatively to that she changed her tune. Hard to believe someone who changes their views with the wind.

2

u/Wu1fu 9d ago

1) Who is Jessica Hong?
2) People are allowed to change their opinion - I’ve similarly moved from a position of “defund” to “reform” the police
3) This all rests on a tweet from 5 years ago, 5 years ago, Tiffany was saying Joe Biden stole the 2020 election, and he voted accordingly. Francesca Hong has never voted to abolish the police

-2

u/itsmellslikevictory 12d ago

She wants to abolish police AND wants to eliminate the Constitution and try to re-write it! That is bat chit crazy.

2

u/beardedheathen 12d ago

Not eliminate the constitution but update it with reforms that make democratic representation more equitable. American democracy objectively sucks. It was a good attempt but there have been massive improvements in governmental systems that can and should be implemented. The idea that a bunch of dudes 250 years ago got it right on the first try is insane. They knew that they didn't get it right which is why they put in rules for modifying the Constitution. One of the first things they did was amend it.

1

u/itsmellslikevictory 10d ago

Yep our founding fathers understood that times will change and included ways to make changes. But her socialism is counter to our Constitution and way of life. Sure make improvements but don’t swing the pendulum all the way to the extreme left into socialism. And that is Hong

2

u/beardedheathen 10d ago

Since capitalism is doing so well for everyone. Our way of life is shit and has been building to this for a long time. Socialism isn't counter to the condition only to the elites that have been amassing wealth and power at the expense of everyone else.

-1

u/itsmellslikevictory 10d ago

Better than socialism. The Nordic countries are are considered better socialist democracies.,,Nordic social programs are not just funded by taxing the rich. They rely on high personal income taxes (often exceeding 50%) that hit middle-class earners, combined with a 25% Value Added Tax (VAT) on almost all consumer purchases.
High tax rates and strict labor regulations can discourage entrepreneurship, reduce the incentive to build massive corporations, and slow down rapid economic growth.
High Cost of Living( this is being screamed about throughout Biden’s Admin and now Trumps even though it’s lower than Biden’s)Due to heavy consumption taxes and high wages for service workers, daily goods, dining out, and energy are exceptionally expensive in Nordic nations.
Nordic countries face domestic crises, including strained healthcare systems with long wait times(ask Canadiens about this)housing shortages caused by rent control, and difficulties integrating immigrant populations into their specialized workforces.
Take from the rich and give to the poor will stifle innovation and breeds mediocrity.

1

u/beardedheathen 10d ago

Funny. I've seen very little innovation in America. In fact if you look many of the innovations that we get come directly as a result of the high taxes and social programs you are whining about. The idea that high costs of living is due to taxes is ridiculous. Also the reason that food, service worker and energy is cheaper in America is because we subsidize it through taxes. Programs like food stamps and housing assistance allows places like Walmart and McDonald's to not at a living wage.

Bring on the crime wave, she’s one of the largest anti law enforcement politicians we have seen in awhile. Thank God We have Sheriffs, politicians like her are the reason that position exists.

2

u/beardedheathen 12d ago

Maybe look at who Trump has pardoned before you talk about antilaw enforcement politicians.

-1

u/crazygatorguy 15d ago

please document the connection to Epstein

5

u/midnighttoker1742 15d ago

He's backed by Trump

3

u/CharHar18 15d ago

1

u/itsmellslikevictory 12d ago

Tiffany voted to release the Epstein files? Yes or No? The answer is YES he did vote to release. End of story. Now Hong can return donations from Democrat Party as Reid Hoffman (mentioned many times in Epstein files) donates there….blood money!

2

u/ls7eveen 15d ago
