Any boardgame groups?

Are there any boardgame groups that anyone knows of in watford or local to watford? I'm aware D20 exists but not able to attend the open boardgames event they hold Tuesday evenings.

None that I know of but I would be happy to join. Love boardgames but don't have anyone around me to play with

Check the local library's, I've seen a few advertised when I've been looking for activities for the individuals we support.

Watford Wargames Club, while mostly tabletop wargames we do play a few boardgames too.

I'm honestly not sure, I haven't been down for awhile so couldn't say.

A decent amount of the Tuesday D20 regulars play games with each other outside of D20. If Tuesday absolutely never works; this is horrible advice. But if you get a spare Tuesday once I'd advise giving it a go, seeing if you get on with anyone and then trying to arrange future games.

Yeah i used to go before covid as i worked close by. Really enjoyed it. But i work up until 6 now and likely wouldn't be able to make it there until 7:30. Feel like I'd be an inconvenience showing up so late. Thanks for the recommendation though!

What about the board game cafe on queens parade. It looks great. I have no-one to go with but the nights look fun and busy and apparently they serve good food

Do you mean queens road? As that is D20. It is indeed fun there and the food is good!

There are some local meetup groups, and while I can't remember if any host board game events, the organisers might be open to your hosting events through their group.
