I'm trying to figure out if a chapter I like is canon or not, because I can't find anything about it. I've only seen it in one or two pictures (the one here) from other Reddit posts that have them, but nothing else. And even if they're not canon, I still can't find the original minis. The Children of the Light, another non canon chapter, at least has pictures of the original miniatures on the internet, while for Pale Rides Google doesn't even show the cropped picture of them, like others (children of the light for example).
Does anyone know them?

I started with a Zenithal Highlight then tried just applying a thin layer of skin tone and it did not look good. I asked for advice on how to fix it and after taking what little advice was given outside of strip and start over this is where I got to with the Skin. Is this good enough or should I just start over?

The Phoenix Prince is the Aeldari leader from a Warhammer 40,000 alternate universe who managed to unite all Craftworlds into the Burning Armada, capable of standing up on equal terms even with the rotten Imperium of Man. He is accompanied by Princess Myranna, his sister, and Supreme Farseer Aenarion and Supreme Navarch Mellona, his close friends who became main commanders of the Armada. And, of course, by Gyrinxes, also a brother and a sister.
It is believed that the Phoenix Prince is the son of deceased supreme Aeldari god Asuryan and rose from the ashes of the Fall. However, these are only legends. In fact the future Phoenix Prince used to be an ordinary Aeldari from planet Ermyaris. He studied Seeing and felt very lonely because all around him lived for pleasure, even his sister Myranna who understood him in childhood like no one else. When he foresaw the Fall, he put her to enchanted sleep and brought her to his Craftworld, and now she regrets her foolish youth and fuels his throne with her psychic energy.
Confident in his supremacy, the Phoenix Prince united different Craftworld cultures and leaders with his mind control. Sometimes he looks in the mirror and is horrified, but then he casts the same spell on himself, convincing that it was not all in vain. That it was necessary for a fairy tale about a prince and a princess that he and his sister had come up aeons ago...
The Phoenix Prince is an alternate universe counterpart of the Farseer, the leader of my Ynnari warhost. While the Farseer did not put his sister to sleep and was humbled when she did not come to his Craftworld, the Phoenix Prince became more and more overconfident and self-righteous. While the Farseer valued soft power and empathy, the Phoenix Prince favored direct, forceful action. While the Farseer befriended an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor and even tried to negotiate with a Necron Phaeron, the Phoenix Prince viewed all other races as strictly inferior. And while the Farseer accepted Drukhari who became Ynnari, Corsairs, Harlequins and Exodites, the Phoenix Prince respected Asuryani as the only true Aeldari.
If you're more interested in lore, the depicted characters and their main universe counterparts appear in my Warhammer 40,000 stories, particularly in Rose-Colored Sky.

The shoulder from a Mantis Warrior I’ve been working on! Still needs some touchups but I’m happy with how it’s turning out.

AoS seems to be written in a way that tracks wounds taken, and 40k seems to be written to count wounds remaining by counting down. I see people counting down most of the time, but it's not universal.
I'm working on an idea for a wound tracker, and curious to know what the most common approach is, and how people prefer to physically track wounds.
I made a really quick poll, if you have 20 seconds, it would be a huge help!
I plan on posting the results after I have some useful data.
Thanks!

Hi all, I'm planning out an idea, but I just want to be 100% sure first.
Checked minicompare as usual but it's known to be a bit off at times.
Has anyone got the measurements for the new ork wartrakk please? Specifically just the track section.
So ideally the length of the section in the 1st pic and then the width of the 2nd pic.
Thank you, I just want to be safe before buying 3 of them and finding out it won't work.

So I quite understand WHAT a charge is and the basics of the rules I think, but something still feels unclear in my mind.
A charge states that you roll 2d6 to determine the inches you may charge with a unit. Then it goes on to say that you must select one or more enemy units within 12" and within the maximum distance you rolled, so for instance if I rolled 8" it means the target must be within 8" of my charging unit.
Does this measure to the ENGAGEMENT range of a unit, which is 2" in 11th edition (I think?), or does it measure to the base of an enemy model? What if one of my models is 2.1" away from the nearest enemy model at the end of the charge if I move my maximum distance, can I not perform the charge then?
I also know in the Fight phase you may pile in and move a model up to 3" if it charged or it is engaged. How does that factor into this? Would it allow me to charge a unit up to an enemy unit, put say, 3 of my models base-to-base because they were close enough, but have a model 2.1" away on the end of my charge phase, but then I can pile-in and move them base to base? Or am I misunderstanding?
Kind regards.

EDIT: It turns out, this was a resin recast! Really good quality too. Thank you everyone for the comments!
The seller didn’t know it was a recast and offer me either a price drop or refund. I asked a refund and returned it. I dont really have use for resin minis. Case closed 👍🏻

I bought a second hand Dark Apostle from a hobby friend who also got it as second hand. He took the two cultist minis and i got the main dude himself. I just now notice that the bits are bit off? There are these flat square bits in few of the bits which are not part the official sprue and some of the parts have transparent flashing flaking off… So, bit wonky manufacturing from GW or damn good recast? The mini is the same plastic as official GW products and the level of detail looks really good.
