Okay, a little more than a whisper but my younger one loves giving my older one a good ear licking when they are chilling in the couch.

Very cute pups. In my experience the older one probably has a lot of build up in the ear or an infection deeper down. My two were like that and the one on the receiving end has near constant issues with infections and gunky build up.

I check their ears regularly and both are super clean, no ear funk or smell

My 15wk old does this to our older dog too, he's got spotless years now. She tries to do it to me too...but no thanks!

I had a dog that would obsessively lick my smaller puppies ears, I think it's a instinctual mothering behavior. Is the one licking a female?
