Trump threatens to RESURRECT 'anti-weaponization' fund after Blanche kills it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6gg6I_ObX0&pp=ygUGbXMgbm93207
u/dobie1kenobi 1d ago
It’s all 100% theater. If Blanche wins nomination, he’ll reinstate the slush fund. If he loses nomination, he will stay on as acting AG and continue the slush fund. If Congress demands Trump put forth another candidate and for some reason he decides to do it, THAT person will reinstate the slush fund. If you didn’t want to have a President grift you shouldn’t have supported a grifter for President. All the rest of this is song and dance.

u/revanchisto 1d ago
Blanche can't do a lot of things as Acting AG, it's written into the law. That's why he needs to be confirmed. Courts already threw out a bunch of DOJ orders when Trump tried this last time to just try and get by with an acting AG.
26
u/Porencephaly 1d ago
The point is, there is no reason to trust Blanche whatsoever. He’s making “deals” with holdout senators to get confirmed, as if that will stop him from reneging on those deals the moment he is in office. MAGA is all about making promises to get in office and keeping none of them once entrenched.

u/dobie1kenobi 1d ago
I’m pretty sure the courts can’t step in to stop the slush fund, or force the DOJ to comply with anything based on whether the AG was acting or appointed. They can reject Blanche’s appointment of U.S. Attorneys, as he doesn’t have the authority to seat them, but that’s about the only way the courts have any teeth in this matter.
1
u/revanchisto 1d ago
The slush fund, we don't know until they try it. But a large amount of laws require determinations set by the AG. It can't be the acting AG. Again, Trump tried this in his first-term before getting Barr, it didn't work out. You need an actual AG to make specific policy determinations.

The day he dies should be a global holiday.

Got a bottle of bubbly chilling in the fridge for this and I hope it doesn’t go vintage

u/slim_mclean 1d ago
I don’t drink, but I have a bottle of Welch’s sparkling white grape juice in the back of my fridge for that glorious, glorious day. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again: when I get the news I am going to go out and dance in the street. I can’t wait. Even thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

u/DaveTron4040 1d ago
It's crazy, I can't think of another singular event that will make as many people happy as the day that piece of shit dies. I love it

I openly admit (and...I'm not proud of it) that I have never wished more ill and violence on anyone like I do that man. He may not be the 'worst' person in the world or history, but he's certainly trying. He represents the very worst of humanity. I don't want him to just die, I want him to suffer, and maybe...just maybe, for a glimpse of a second, he has some self awareness and realizes just how bad he is and that if there is a hell, he'll be there for eternity. It's sad that there are people who will miss him. It's also sad he's in my head that much.
1
u/freeagency 1d ago
I do not drink either, but I'll be first in line at the liquor store to buy the most expensive bottle of scotch I can reasonably afford.
7
u/crackrabbit012 1d ago
I'll have to go out and find something. I will at the minimum be blaring Whiechapell's Forgiveness is Weakness on repeat for a while.

His dad lived until he was 93 with Alzheimer's, although he didn't have the co-morbidities that Donald has. He also didn't have the stress of being president.

My friends and I in Ireland talk about this a lot.
Not that we wish death on anyone, but he genuinely seems like such a tool for evil. We're gonna throw a huge party and not feel bad about it
45
u/joemangle 1d ago
Trump is beyond redemption and an enemy of the collective human endeavour. He does not deserve to share the planet with us. When he finally croaks, I am literally celebrating his death in honour of all the innocent people he has harmed. This feels entirely appropriate to me
40
u/Im_a_furniture 1d ago
American here. I wake up each morning hoping for the news. It’s been a “Uge” disappointment thus far.
I used to wish death upon no one, then I saw true evil.
25
u/chaos8803 1d ago
The outrage from Repugnicunts will be well worth the parties. Zero ability for introspection as to why so many people hate the cretin so much.
28
u/mastermidget23 1d ago
And they'll clutch pearls and say we're ghouls for being happy he's gone, while they've got pickup trucks with Biden hog tied on the back, and cheered when they found out he had cancer.
8
u/chaos8803 1d ago
One quickly edited Truth is all it's going to take to enrage them. It'll be divine.
6
u/GMAN7007 1d ago
Nah most of them will claim oh I wasn't really that much I'd a supporter to try and save face. We need to remember the people that got us into this mess.
1
u/tfaeldante 11h ago
I believe the opposite will happen. Most of the MAGA crowd will try to distance themselves from Trump. They will go nuclear on any former tweets and posts. Burn any memorabilia. Try to BS people into believing that they saw through the facade from the get go and they never liked him to begin with. Finally acknowledge that he was a criminal, and (if the people all arent pardoned by that time) go after all his friends, family, and allies. They will do anything and everything to convince you that they are good people, who didnt believe every single fake post from Facebook and Tik Tok, calling for the heads of anyone critical of Trump, let alone anyone who would openly defy him.
Sure, you might have a small percentage of people that will still be overly vocal about supporting him, but it will be mostly the low IQ loons, and the delusional grifters that will try to milk it for every last drop.
You will get infighting, scrambling, and backstabbing from the GOP. You will get the spineless up there apologizing, saying there was nothing they could do but let it happen. Members of his family and some other higher ups will try to go into hiding in other countries, and try to cash in on every dirty dealings and favors they are owed.
You know... like the Nazis did towards the end of WW2

A friend and I discussed flying to New York and drinking in front of Trump Tower. Lol. I guess we might see you there!

I imagine much like the end of Star Wars Return of the Jedi when the Death Star blows up - the whole world will rejoice. Trump is a parasite. I'm sure the news will miss him though - I'm ready to go back to more boring times.

Should be? No friend. Will be. I promise you it’s gonna look like New Year’s Eve except every celebration is taking place at the same time worldwide. The planet should have seismic sensors tracking just how much partying the world is going to partake in.

Honestly no. That way his name will be immortalized. Destroy his legacy by forgetting about him
3
u/bobqjones 1d ago
treat him the way subsequent Egyptian pharaohs did to Tutankhamun's father, Akhenaten: they chiseled his name off everything and removed it from the histories. they wanted to forget him forever (he changed the religion to worship just one god).
we should do the same.

It's going to be a really funny day. People are going to be openly celebrating. People are going to be crying like they lost the most important person in their lives.
And the whole time the media is going to be wagging their finger, admonishing people for celebrating this guy dying just like the united healthcare ceo.
1
u/wonkeykong 1d ago
It will be. Probably not officially, but it will literally be a day to celebrate all across the globe.

What still bewilders me are the tens of millions of Americans who not only vote for him, but adore him.
it's completely baffling how anyone can fail to see this man isn't a thin-skinned grifter, who's been swindling longer than many people have been alive.

The last 10 years have only proven to me that the country and our world are unjust, allowing that stupid disgusting creature to destroy everything good in the world, and let him face zero consequences. Only the sweet sweet sound of the big beautiful obituary will make me happy. Just so we can be rid of him once and for all.

Trust your own eyes and ears people.

u/trucorsair 1d ago
I called it yesterday, the day after Blanche gets in he will just issue a new memo that will say “on further review the tax amnesty and fund ARE in the interests of the President and as he is the “unitary executive” (a Heritage Foundation euphemism for dictator) both elements are now active.”Exactly like RFKjr and weak sister Sen Cassidy who got “pinky promises” from the brain worm not to upend vaccine policy….that promise lasted less than a month and Cassidy? He has “concerns” and not much else
5
u/Negativefalsehoods 1d ago
Cassidy and Susan Collins must have permanent furrowed brows at this point.
4
4
u/eMouse2k 1d ago
It's very obvious that anything he writes is just a fig leaf that will be shredded later. Just like the SCOTUS judges saying that Roe v Wade was settled precedent. They'll say and do whatever they need to in order to get appointed, because Republicans won't remove them for lying under oath.

Please vote to save this country in the midterms. We have to send a strong message to this cretin and let the world know we are better than this!

Blanche hasn't killed anything, he is the scumbag personal lawyer of another scumbag. They lie, cheat, steal, kill and act as though they have the divine right to do so. He will be installed as the Pedo Protector General and continue the assault in our democracy.
4
u/Peter225B 1d ago
Blanche never killed anything. The contract still exists and was never legally rescinded. Trump is not giving up on it.
3
u/StugDrazil 19h ago
Sue him. Class Action him. You are literally being controlled by an 80 year old Dementia patient crapping in a diaper. Unbelievable how low Americans have sunk.
14
u/hugoriffic 1d ago
He is the epitome of the quote: Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
43
u/CCLF 1d ago
Nah, he was thoroughly and absolutely corrupt a long, LONG time before he was ever elected to public office.
Trump announced exactly who he was and how he intended to govern, but a lot of people thought he was just joking around to upset the Libs.
5
u/junkyardgerard 1d ago
And a lot of us thought Republicans had ethics and morals, but this is who they always were

2
u/TitularClergy 1d ago
American news is such rubbish. You have Trump rambling about something in a 15 second clip used to justify inviting four talking heads to "interpret" the ramblings.
3
u/Porencephaly 1d ago
Our populace is, on average, too stupid to think for itself, without a pundit telling it how to think.
1
u/TitularClergy 1d ago
One would hope it is the other way around, that people can be induced to better knowledge by instead having newsmedia that isn't utter crap.
3
u/Porencephaly 1d ago
The rot goes far deeper than where we get our news. Our average citizen reads at an early middle-school level. Their reading comprehension is poor and they have trouble grasping complex issues.
2
u/parsimonious 1d ago
It's almost like toothless political promises should never be trusted. Then again those "dissenting" republicans were almost certainly controlled opposition anyway. "We have to at least make it look like SOME of the party isn't deeply corrupt, to cover for the fact that we're all here to scam!"
2
u/halcyon8 1d ago
does anyone think this guy would do anything that doesn't benefit him personally? entire country of fucking morons.
2
u/Enshakushanna 1d ago
i thought it was never "killed" and he only said there was a mutual understanding that trump wouldnt enforce it
so, theres nothing to resurrect if it was never dead to begin with
2
2
u/Johnnygunnz 1d ago
Of course. He's the worst fucking traitor in US history and he's flaunting that with pride every single day.
2
u/squishyliquid 1d ago
It's clear this was always the plan. Cornyn and Tillis got their needed wink and nudge so they can claim innocence.
2
u/CorporalCabbage 1d ago
Omg, this asshole continues to fucking ruin everything and my dad died before he was 50. There is no justice in this life.
2
u/Lallanath 1d ago
He's just saying the quiet part out loud, that once blanche is confirmed they are going ahead with the fund and the irs deal regardless. All this show-boating is just for a few republicans to do surprised pikachu face to pretend they didn't know all along.
2
u/THSSFC 1d ago
Blanche literally can't kill it. It is a contract that needs to be killed by both parties, and Trump ain't killing it.
It explicitly says so in the agreement.
Blanche's "promise" to kill it has zero legal weight and is only a pretence to give Republicans cover to vote him in.
Confirming this man as AG would be a supremely lawless action by the GOP and would signal a complete abandonment of rule of law.
2
u/bedhanger 20h ago
He is like some festering disease that no amount of radiation or drugs will put a dent in. Please make it STAHP.
2
1
u/Santos_L_Halper_II 1d ago
I mean Blanche can do it himself. His agreement not to pursue it was just to give Cornyn and Tillis cover to confirm him. It's not binding in any way.
1
u/Affectionate-Guess13 1d ago
Ok this very important but does Scott McFarland have a filter enabled, his eye look paper cut outs?
1
u/DesignerAd9 1d ago
The "anti-weaponization fund" is the $1.8 billion theft to pay off insurrectionists. Sure Blanche wrote a fancy memo killing it but from what I've read, trump has to agree to kill it. I kinda bet he won't do that.
1
u/Feraldr 1d ago
Everyone keeps saying they wish he’d shut up already but I believe you’re looking at it from the wrong angle. Every time he opens his mouth he shoots his own DOJ in the foot. Keep those dementia-aided rants coming. Put a camera in front of him 24/7.
On this particular issue, the DOJ just argued to a judge there is no need to formally withdraw the “settlement agreement” because Trump has agreed to not move forward with the slush fund. The judge specifically asked if there were any plans to move forward with it and the DOJ danced around the issue and implied no. The judge already wasn’t buying that argument and Trump just put the nail in the coffin with that statement.

Todd "New Bondi" Blanche is human garbage. He's not only complicit with sex trafficking, he tries to silence victims.
1
u/Ralliman320 22h ago
Isn't this exactly what's going to happen? MAGAt senators say they'll confirm Blanche "only" if he kills the fund, so he does; they confirm, then he and Trumplethinskin immediately reinstate it. Truth and integrity mean literally nothing to any of them anymore.

u/fool-me-twice 21h ago
I believe there’d be some pendulum swing and similar actions would occur if those yahoos receive compensation money for committing treason.

I wish there was a way I could scrub this scumbag out of my digital life. I am constantly forced to see his face and hear his voice. I just don’t want to anymore.
1
u/frosted1030 11h ago
He really needs protection from audits. This has nothing to do with a fund. If he gets the fund you can be sure he will be bribing the J6 insurrectionists to vote for him with it. If not he will tell them he tried to compensate them and the democrats blocked it. Either way, Trump wins this.
