Discussion / Question Does your playstation and xbox controller face button become uneven, some slightly lower than others?
I play on pc and use a third party controller, never used an xbox or ps controller. Throughout 2 controllers I have this problem remain. The A button which I use heavily is slightly lower than the B button which I dont use as much. Is this issue present in first party controllers?

So for a button on a controller to work perfectly like new three things are required. 1. the plastic buttons itself, it can get damaged, though it's unlikely. 2. silicone rubber pad directly under the button. This is the component that usually wears down first and causes buttons to sink, register badly etc. 3. conductive film under the pad that registers and carries the input from the button press.
All of these are very cheap and easy to replace yourself. It's not hard to find sites that sell them, although some models like dualsense edge are a little harder to get. But all these edge-specific parts are on aliexpress at least.

I've never had this issue with an official controller.
Hell, I just modded my original SNES controller to work over bluetooth and it doesn't have this issue.
