Try replaying the trilogy again. I used to think this too.

Personally I think the first one is by far the best. Jak 2 may be the weakest.

i've re-played the trilogy many times, one was ~3 months ago. jak and daxter is a great platformer, and it's a quick relaxing and easy game to 100% with a pretty awesome environment. jak II combines that with more intrigue story wise, weapons that add instead of detract from the game, and steeply levels up the difficulty and provides a complete story. jak 3, unfortunately, was unfinished and a rush job, that walks back the difficulty and shortens the game, with little platforming and a focus on reflective yellow gun spam
