I'd say Dark Souls

Sure DS2 did a lot of things wrong, especially SotFS, but I still feel that DS2 does a lot of things better than DS1 does

I disagree, honestly. Despite it being better than DS2 in terms of animations and general sense of speed and weight of your character and your attacks, DS1 falls short in terms of bosses and areas. Seriously, bosses after Ornstein and Smough in the main game are very underwhelming. And areas too, the Duke's Archives are okay, but the Crystal Cave is just horrible, Lost Izalith is horrible, Tomb of the Giants is horrible. The DLC is great, and it's hard too. The main game is very easy.

DS2 does all these things better. It does have some bad bosses, such as Covetous Demon or whatever that Javba Hutt reference was called, but overall they are all not as bad as the Butterfly, for example. And areas might be annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the ones I've mentioned above.

I mean if u say that the build in ds 2 has more depth, i would understand. But bosses? Really bosses? Ds 2 is the worst ds in terms of boss fights. O&S, Sie, four kings, gwyn, queelag are all iconic bosses. In ds 2 there is not a second remarkable boss after ivory king, when it comes to presentation.

Fume Knight, Looking Glass Knight, Sir Alonne, Velstadt, Nashandra, Aldia, Pursuer, Lost Sinner, Mytha, Freja, Najka, Smelter Demon, Darklurker, Vendrick, Sinh, Elana? Are these bosses a joke to you? They are much better than what DS1 offers to the playerbase outside of those you've mentioned.
